Temperature?

Tammy

The temperature is 24-27 (sometimes 28, if they forgot to turn on the air conditioner).

Jeffrey6189

Have the shrimp molted in these months? If there were problems with molting, I would look into the possibility of insufficient iodine levels in the aquarium.

Robin

Molted periodically.

Are there no clicks in the aquarium at night? Maybe your marine mantis shrimp Odontodactylus scyllarus is killing them.

Paul

This aquarium is in the office, so I don't know. But at home, there is indeed something clicking in my aquarium - I've heard it more than once, but I still don't understand what it is. And how to kill this ...?

Corey3201

Why kill this beauty? We should try to catch it somehow and put it in a tank. Moreover, many people want to keep them in separate aquariums; I should note that it's a very interesting creature. I personally haven't had any, but if you Google it, you can find ways to extract it from the aquarium.

Heather2018

Could kH have jumped sharply? Or is it a lack of oxygen at night - the skimmer turned off with insufficient flow and ventilation in the aquarium? It happened once... Temperature doesn't matter. The fish could withstand a drop to +17 for three days.

Dana6523

Kh is consistently at the low end - 6. The skimmer doesn't turn off, so why turn it off - let it work.

James4757

6kH is a bit low. Let's aim for 9-11.

Courtney

I raise it to "8" somehow, but it slips down again. Calcium is normal, magnesium too.

Jeremy3637

They can't handle the promotion well...

Steven7574

Well, yes. Exactly. I didn't think that the temperature could be higher. In my aquarium, it can only be lower.

Offtopic Igor, by the way, I mixed the kN test from Karen. Bring 100 ml of alcohol (at least 95%), I'll mix some for you too. One "mix" is 5 liters of test.

Emily3144

Offtopic. Seryoga, I paid for O3 today. Call Imira - they will send it in one package. Alcohol? Drinking? ...the weekend will be extended) thanks. I will definitely bring alcohol. Let me know when.

Chad4168

Off-topic Medical alcohol, at least 95%, 100 ml, and not for drinking, but for dissolving indicators. And I don't drink alcohol at all. I'll treat you to coffee. And a clean 5-liter container. Send me your phone number via SMS.

Off-topic A man has gone missing, a sailor has disappeared.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to "in a month." At this point, not even a marine aquarist or a pathologist can help. The time frame is too long. Maybe they passed away from old age? Or there were fluctuations in the parameters during that time, like kh and pH. A sudden change in kh can have a very negative effect on them, you know. Usually, the "departure" of invertebrates beyond the horizon takes two to three, well, five days. Ophiuroids can disappear for a long time, but inconspicuously, under the rocks. This does not apply to fish. Fish are very resilient and can resist for what seems like a lifetime. A short one, but still... You can tell right away.

Kevin

I had a similar situation with bloody tetras; only the 4th or 5th one survived and is still alive to this day, for almost a year now. It has survived soluble coffee in the aquarium and two moves. I think it mostly depends on the shrimp.
