Hello, the aquarium is about 7-8 months old. I initially bought an EHEIM universal 1200L, but now it seems that the flow is insufficient for the peripheral equipment (branching from the lift pipe). I want to buy an EHEIM universal 2400. The aquarium dimensions are 50x40x45, and the sump is 50x30x35, with a water volume of up to 100L. I also note that I haven't noticed a decrease in pump power. My concerns are about the higher power of the pump and increased heat output. What do you recommend?

Your EHEIM universal 1200 l, which is even if it has dropped by 10%, will be more than enough for your volume! If you want to throw money away, do you want water heating, more energy consumption, and of course more noise? Then buy and install the Eheim universal 2400.

I want to place a reactor with biopellets in the chain, along with a reactor with coal and antifos, and at the end of the same chain, an algae scrubber similar to this one. I don't want to install an additional pump because in the end, I will get the same heat release into the water, but instead of one pump, there will be two.

Why? I have only used the EHEIM universal 1200, so I can't compare it to anything else. But I'm satisfied with this pump; it's quiet and works well, especially considering that the aquarium is next to the bed, which is quite an important issue. So I thought that more powerful models would be just as good.
