A person has a 20-liter aquarium. You can put a pot of soup on the stove, and the aquarium will overheat, or you can throw a cube of frozen artemia directly into the aquarium, and everything will freeze. To be honest, I also have a heater... Even though I have temperature sensors on the radiators and it stays consistently at 21 degrees, it's enough to forget to close the window and the kitchen doors, and by morning it will be 20 degrees. But this all applies to small aquariums.

The fan shouldn't be turned on at all - a storm will start. (It's being malicious today - I hope to manage to go off-topic a bit before it gets deleted.) But seriously, both he and Max are saying the same thing - in this volume, the temperature parameters in the room are more important than a heater sized for the aquarium.

Alexander

Off-topic: It's +28 at my home right now, and if it doesn't get cooler soon, I'll have to turn on the air conditioner.

Off-topic Finally, it has gotten colder. Hooray!

Check this out It seems that the Hydor Mini Heater, 15 W, might be suitable for you. Also, the Eheim Jager 25 W is a very good aquarium heater with a thermostat. I have the same one.

Adam4310

If it has a bimetallic thermostat, then sticking is possible regardless of the brand name, and at that price, you can add 65 and buy the Hydor Hydroset Thermostat. 315.82. in conjunction with any heater...

It's crazy. So many tragedies in one family. If you read it, you'll think aquaristics should be included in "health warnings." A properly purchased heater, according to its power, won't raise the temperature above 30 degrees. Tetras (but of the old formation) last who knows how long. And if you're scared, buy two with half the power.

To do this, it is enough to install a diode in the break of one wire; the voltage will drop by almost half, and consequently, the power will decrease as well.

Charles894

You can also install a diode. The only issue is where to plug it in? In the plug or the socket? Or should it just hang on the wire?

Anne

I usually lower the temperature of the tip on Chinese soldering irons like this. They are labeled 220V, but in reality, they are 127V. I carefully cut one of the wires going to the plug, solder in a diode, cover it with heat shrink tubing, and then wrap both wires with blue electrical tape.

The conclusion is that Vortek should be installed - the electrical part and the water cord do not come into contact. And they do not heat the water.

And they stand like Tavria.

Or choose heaters (specifically heaters, without thermostats, AquaEl has them, it's a pity they stopped making the glass series). And, as the advice suggested, run it through a diode. That's what I did in the paludarium.

Amy

By the way, when I needed to adjust the temperature more precisely, I bought a small board in the store - a voltage regulator. It has a microchip and a couple of components. I placed this board in the casing of a mobile phone charger and brought the regulator out to the charger casing. The price was about 20.
