By the way, I posted a photo - the top layer is about 5 mm thick - live sand, and in just 4 days it was teeming with little critters, which didn't happen (to that extent) in the dry aragonite. A total of 90 kg of sand (aragonite) was added to the 600-liter aquarium, including 2 bags of live sand.

All of these are design and/or marketing tricks - animals don't care about the composition and color of the sand at all - as long as it doesn't leach any harmful substances and the fractions are suitable for life, and for an aquarium, it's better to use sand that contains as many calcium-containing elements as possible.
