Isn't it? It seems that many allow such a temperature.

Caroline1599

The temperature was like this for two days (1:00 PM - 7:00 PM), but that was after the polyps were removed. Generally, the temperature remains at around 25-26°C.

The spike in calcium and magnesium concentration could have triggered the shedding. The colony is currently doing well and may experience tissue regrowth under consistently good conditions.

Leave the lamps as they are now: Is it possible to increase to the previous level? 120(d) x 70(w) x 55(h) = 460l

Where have all the marine aquarium enthusiasts from the forum gone...

Andrea9320

Marjan, the temperature is 28, it's not the issue, and your parameters were normal. If everything remains stable for a long time, at least 4-6-8 months, then the acropora will stop dropping its polyps... The aquarium is not yet mature... And be patient, do NOT add ANY supplements or amino acids... This will only worsen the current situation... Also, keep water changes to a minimum while the aquarium matures: 1-2% every two weeks or month will be sufficient... And for feeding the fish, if you have any, do it every other day... In fact, if you want normal SPS, it's better to avoid fish at an early stage as much as possible...

Thank you sincerely for the answers! What do you recommend regarding the lighting?

Sheila

Do not touch the light for now. Changing the spectrum and intensity greatly disrupts the balance; the fish struggle to cope with a sudden change of lamps. I agree with Alexey: absolutely!!! stop adding supplements to the aquarium, especially amino acids. Add a general photo of the aquarium; maybe something will become clearer.

+1, when it comes to SPS, do not make sudden changes to the conditions, I also agree with everything that was written. Questions: - Is there any LPS or anemones nearby? - How quickly did it start to shed? What is the timeline, what was done before the shedding occurred? - Was anything added/moved nearby? Such a picture can be observed after attacks from LPS/anemones, parasites are possible, please check carefully.
