And for those who maintain aquariums, it's a real treasure.

So almost all computers do this already.

Yes, that's right. So I sleep and DON'T know. But when I'm awake, I DON'T sleep because I know something has happened, but... I can't do anything about it. It's not a controller, just a parameter measurer. What does it measure? 1. Light intensity - well, who cares. 2. pH - a serious indicator. 3. Temperature - also. 4. Ammonia - for newly set up aquariums. So we take a pH meter ($200), a thermometer (another $40 if it's electronic), a webcam ($150). We connect the camera to the computer, place the thermometer and pH meter in its field of view, and see the same thing (just for $50), and just like that, we can't do anything.

Off-topic, but why is there nothing? In a panic, we call our relatives and pressure them to come to us to save the situation.

Off-topic, but they usually can't figure anything out... Dead end.

Off-topic, after I taught girls how to navigate Windows over the phone - it doesn't scare me.

Off-topic. Well, it's Windows... Recently, I asked some girls over the phone to feed the fish, but they flatly refused, giving strong arguments: first, we don't know how to open the aquarium's lid, even though we've seen it done multiple times, and then, we're afraid the fish will bite... So, you’re lucky with the girls...

Besides pH, there aren't really any urgent or important parameters. Ammonia is only for a new aquarium... Temperature... well, maybe for small tanks where cooling in winter is a concern... but again, it's not such a rapidly changing parameter; usually, someone comes to feed the fish and can check the thermometer, it's not a problem. Illumination - how is that measured? In lumens?
If it showed calcium/phosphates/nitrates and sent text messages, I would buy it without hesitation. Off-topic (just a couple of weeks ago, I was telling my mom over the phone how to adjust the bubble counter in the calcium reactor since the tests showed it was high - no problem, I managed).
