Dear Morimans, could you please advise me about the device - "LED lamp AquaLighter 3 ine 90cm" (NOT ADVERTISING!). I am interested in the quality of the spectrum, the relative durability of the lamp, etc. Maybe someone is using it... I would like to know if one is enough for a reef tank 80*50*55 with not very demanding corals, or if one is still not enough. Thank you in advance.

Wouldn't it be better to order right away?

John

The lights from Airsoft are just amazing! I've seen them myself. And we've already been in touch about this. I'm just looking for options...

I used a 30 cm Aquawriter 3 with a controller on a 30-liter demonstration aquarium. I like everything, but I think one will be insufficient for an 80x50x55 tank.

John Sur, are you talking about the fact that it won't penetrate such thickness? Who knows what the power of a 90-centimeter one is? And can it be used without a controller or, on the contrary, two fixtures on one controller? Thank you.

James

According to the specifications, I just overlooked it. Hmm... It seems that the truth is surfacing again - there's no point in looking for cheap options, you'll end up paying two or three times more anyway! Well, then we'll save up some money for the RayStar. That's definitely proven equipment in action. Thank you.

Without a controller, two fixtures on one controller - I don't know. In my opinion, it's an excellent solution for nano reefs (price/performance/design). As for larger volumes, I would still look towards Ray Star.

This is my clean setup. But if you don't have money, study the material; making a light fixture is not difficult. There are many topics on selecting LEDs, how many of each, etc. The controller is not that important for corals; I personally don't use it anymore. I have two timers: one for UV with the royal blues, and the other for white and blue.

The controllers from Rey (Airsoft) are priced at 410. 4-channel + you need 4 drivers at 40 each. A power supply at 24V will be enough, so you can connect 8 diodes to each channel. That should be sufficient; I would install 8 UV, 8 royal, 4 white, and 4 blue. The UV ones from Rey are good Semileds, and the rest, the power supply and radiator, are cheaper to get from Vitalik (Pastuh1234). So, do the math.
