I am a sad owner of something similar. I have a Resun 500. The aquarium is fine, but nothing fits in it. I don't know about the Red Sea Max. It seems to be around 130 liters? In my opinion, it's better to set up a proper system of 200-300 liters and practice there. And if there's no money, a 30-liter mini tank is just right. You don't even need to put a skimmer in it. A filter with expanded clay will be enough.

Jacob7201

This is like an irrigated, nitrate factory, or a "bubbling layer" type BFB. But why expanded clay, wouldn't it be better to fill it with white shell rock or lump chalk? Or is the joke on me?

Jeanne

Humor detected... This is from the neighboring topic "about broken stereotypes."

Alexander

Interesting aquarium. Of everything shown, there is no point in the "synthetic socks." So it will require some effort - you can create a wonderful algae filter there. And it's very easy. I would buy such an aquarium.

Heather

Considering that it costs 3200 on the Polish site in our currency, I would also buy it, but I only found it for 5100 here.

The video features RiffMax, not RedSeaMax. These are slightly different things, and I wouldn't choose that one.

What do you think, are there any worthy ready-made aquariums for sale, and which ones?

Jennifer9100

Are you specifically interested in my opinion? Any ready-made factory aquarium needs to be refined, and some need to be completely redone. Among those that require minimal modifications is the Red Sea Max. However, considering its price, additional expenses for improvements seem foolish. If you don't want to deal with assembling the aquarium or selecting equipment yourself, you can entrust this to a specialized company (not a store) - they will do it "turnkey" and according to your wishes. It will be cheaper and better in any case.

In my opinion, Aquael is good. Firstly, you can add some more light, and secondly, you can fit a Deltak in the back if necessary. We can also discuss this model, Boyu HS-60.

Chris

Well, if it's from ready-made options, it could be Elos or Aquamedic.

Joseph591

In the video, there is Aquael, and I wrote about it. Among the nano options, this solution does not require drastic structural changes. Just remove the bags and install lighting on the algae scrubber. As for availability and price, I agree with vitruvi - the Boyu HS-60 is a very interesting option. It doesn't need any modifications at all.

Christopher

Well, yes, that's your opinion. I asked specifically about minimal modifications, and it was implied that the stock equipment is significantly different from what is needed. I thought there were worthy options besides Red Sea. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any of the branded "sets" in person, which is why I was inquiring. 2 - Is it really true that a Chinese product, which is $1000 cheaper than Aquael, looks more promising?

Chad

It's ideal to place them next to each other, then everything will be visible instantly. Nowadays, it's rare to find anything that isn't Chinese. Different things are also written on fences... There are different kinds of China. Light can be accepted as parity, but if you try to arrange live rocks in a narrow Aquael (width) and a Boy, which is wider and taller, and also easily place the pumps in the right spots so that the corals aren't blown away and the live rocks work - that's where you really need to put in some effort! So, it's not even a matter of money or the Chinese when choosing between them. Although Aquael is also a VERY interesting option.

Alan273

Speaking of the Chinese guy, I was just referring to Boyu... I didn't really think about the convenience of the arrangement, by the way.
