Does your electromagnetic valve get very hot?

Brandi

I apologize. The valve itself does not heat up; the coil heats up. I wouldn't say it's critical. It's within the normal range.

Catherine

If subjectively speaking, it was really hot - about +60°C for sure - I was surprised and panicked - I'm talking about Kamotsi. Right now I have a Chinese one - barely warm.

The camo is useless; you can get burned and won't be able to adjust it when it's already working - it's very hot. I think it can melt the wire if it touches it.

I don't know, comrades, my Kamoca, although not on a calcium reactor, is feeding my plants with carbon dioxide just fine... Well, I could also attach an Aquamedic, but for a different price...

If it is possible to keep a hand on a heated surface, then its temperature is no higher than +75°C. Of course, this is highly subjective - it depends on the specific hand. But on average, a right-handed man's right hand can determine around 60-70°C accurately - this has been tested. The wire insulation won't melt - that's also true, but the fitting heats up to the cylinder - that's a fact. I was surprised to discover such a peculiarity of this valve. Strange...

Hi, I read your posts and got confused about the betrayal - I ran to check the valve - everything is cold... but where it should be heating up - or rather, where does it heat up for you... thanks for the reply.

Larry

Martin, calm down, we really messed up, and I even supported it - the valves are different from Kamoci - the most common model that they put in reducers - it heats up a lot, but that's its normal operation. If yours isn't hot, it means they made a different model for you. The coil usually fries eggs.

Darlene4238

I got a slight burn on my own, can you come and check the degree of heating?

Jessica9188

Friends, there is a very good method to gather everything together on the fittings, then all the metal (regulator, solenoid valve, reducer, fittings) works like a radiator and dissipates heat from the coil quite well...

Anna9752

If the coil is for 220V AC, a damping resistor can be installed (the coil will not heat up). If it's for low voltage DC, the voltage can be reduced through a regulator, and it won't heat up either. The coil can be replaced with a pulse coil, which theoretically won't heat up at all. I have a coil rated for 24VDC, but it actually receives 14V - it's slightly warmer than the surrounding furniture. These questions have already been discussed somewhere on the forum.

Guys, forgive me, but I don't know anything about technology... So I remembered the conversation with the seller... maybe it's wrong... BUT - you can connect the Emk directly to the manometer if I'm not mistaken... but... I have a hose coming from the manometers + camozi, etc... And the connection shouldn't affect the heating...

Wendy8540

Theoretically, yes, but if the power goes out, it will be a problem. I don't know about the sea, but in freshwater, you can suffocate the fish easily since the reel opens and closes with a short pulse of current. Regarding what I mentioned about the metal fitting, you attach one side to the reducer and the other to the Camozzi. I can't argue with that, but the fact is that the thermal conductivity of the metal fitting is higher than that of the hose, which means the heat dissipation from the reel is greater, so with this connection, it won't heat up as much.

Gentlemen, no panic, Kamozzi is in control. The Talmuds state that this valve is designed to operate up to 10 atm. (that's quite a force). In our CO2 systems, calcium reactors, how much? - 2 atm. A fivefold safety margin. Therefore, for the 220V coil, a 600-ohm resistor in series, it all fits in the same box, indistinguishable from the outside. At the market, they gave me two 1200-ohm resistors instead of one 600-ohm for 50 kopecks, no problem, I soldered them in parallel in the circuit, they've been there for six months already, the coil is warm. Oh, and if that's not enough for you... a burnt-out power supply from a computer, it has aluminum heat sinks, use them instead of a bracket for mounting...

12v DC 5w coil.

You must be scared - there is a concept of psychosomatics, burns of a greater degree occur from fright. If you connect the valve like this, all the heat goes to the reducer and the cylinder - it heats much less. Better to buy it on Fish Street - it's barely warm.
