I also wanted to add that there used to be salt from the Netherlands, De Jong inelife, which was also good, but now I can't find it anywhere.((
Linda
I think it would be right to mention the priorities of Reef Crystals; SPS corals respond very well to this salt.

Are self-mixing salts a thing? I read somewhere about this, but without specifics. Or is it unrealistic to create a composition at home?
Bryan1851
There were such people, and some are still alive. When you were 5-7 years old, you "mixed" salt yourself. We have pioneers in marine aquaristics, one of whom is a forum member (he attracted me to the sea and taught me all the basics, so to speak, my teacher) who has extensive experience and has gone through a difficult, fanatical journey. He learned a lot through trial and error in the late 80s in his challenging marine endeavors, not to mention the financial issues of that time. Now, why invent the past when there is something available? Do you want to go through the path of trial and error again or save $20 over six months? Or is it just to chat?

Useful information. The price of this salt is nice. Are there any tests on the main parameters of freshly salted water and what parameters the manufacturer indicates, as there is nothing specific on their website? How long have you been using it, what percentage of water replacement do you do, do you add balling, and any additives to the system?
Brooke
I haven't done any tests, there are no specified parameters even on the bucket. I've been using it for a little over a year, with 10-15% replacements. I don't use balling or additives. The aquariums, both soft and mixed types with SPS, LPS, and soft corals, are all doing great. I don't know how a heavily loaded, purely SPS tank will feel, as I don't have one, so I can't advise on that, but I do have plans.

Friends, has anyone used salt? I read that it has a very high calcium content, around 570, and mine is currently low, with no balling. Maybe I'll give it a try, but I'm just a bit hesitant because there are almost no reviews about this salt online.

after long trials and errors only KZ
Alexandra
Can you provide a bit more detail? What are the advantages of KZ?
Andrew7823
I would like to hear a more detailed and constructive response. What was used, what was not liked, etc.

Please tell us about your long trials and errors, even briefly...
