And what, are you completely dissatisfied?

Veronica

large crumb plus aquamedic bicarbonate, by the way, arm is considered a good filler, I want to try it myself.

Michelle

I want to bring up a topic. Please share what kind of filler you use.

Nothing has changed for me.... And for you? By the way, where does everyone buy it?

Tasha

After my calcium reactor released a white-milky liquid into the aquarium for the third time, I excluded it. I also used ARM CARIBSEA (small and large fractions). Then I switched to balling for about a year until I encountered defective calcium chloride (I think). Although I bought it from the same place, previously I was sold calcium chloride from China, and the last one was from Russia. Now I'm considering going back to the calcium reactor because I lost several SPS after the defective calcium chloride. Is it possible to use dry reef rocks as a filler in the calcium reactor?

Jeremy

I can't advise on S.R.K. (dry reef rocks), I believe I have no right to risk the livestock... mishaps happen as it is! You couldn't find the balance between KH and calcium last time anyway... Why come up with something new? The substrate is good and tested; I think you need to sort out the KH or replace it...

Kathy

How did this manifest? Well, it's clear that something went wrong with the SPs. Did calcium chloride dissolve "normally"? Was there anything suspicious during the dissolution? I recently refused to dissolve a similar substance because there was a strong camphor smell coming from the package! Was there any residue during the dissolution? Or what made you suspicious about the quality of the calcium?

Julie

The externally defective chloride was no different, it was just from Russia, I had always bought Chinese before. I purchased from the same company as always, quality "pharmaceutical". There was no sediment. I didn't change anything in the aquarium, when the SPS started dying, I concluded that it was due to the chloride.

So something was in soluble form. (if it was a byproduct from soda production - then SPS was affected by ammonium) And after the disaster with SPS (small-polyped corals) was phosphate/nitrate measured? This is the first thing that comes to mind. Unfortunately for me (or maybe it's good for experiments???) Russian chloride will also arrive, but I don't have SPS...

The company that sells you should provide a certificate that specifies the chemical composition according to the standards and the results of the measurements from the inspection of this. And all of this should have a "wet" stamp.

There is nothing scary if you consider the dilution it will be in. There is no specified ammonia. It may not be present in the impurities at all. However, the total impurities indicated in percentages when calculated gave me 5.53%, and if you add that to the main substance of 96.4%, the total will be... 101.93%... Either something is off in this fairy-tale-cannabis kingdom, or my calculator has refused to calculate based on the euro-integrated sum, without accounting for what seems to be a product allowed by the certification service during working hours in the Netherlands (we also want euro laws!)... If I'm mistaken, please correct me...

Let's discuss the fillers for KR after all. As for the off-topic regarding the risks of cheap purchased reagents, I bought from a company that packages on-site. You can buy as little as 100 grams or as much as several kilograms. It's possible that something got into my bag of calcium chloride during the packaging process.
