Osmosis + salt. The proportions are specified in the salt instructions.
Alexander
The volume is small; if there is no osmosis, it can be done with pharmacy distillate from Sarepta.

Clear, thanks.

Could you please tell me if the distillate used for batteries is suitable for a marine aquarium?
Thomas1044
Are you sure there is any distillate there? Buy a TDS meter; it's still needed for water quality control and is inexpensive, so you'll know for sure if it's suitable or not.

Is boiled water allowed?
Wanda666
If it's from the tap - no, of course not. If you boil osmosis water, it will only get worse. Because boiling will reduce the alkalinity of the water. A clear answer to the question of whether it's possible or not. A TDS meter is your indispensable companion with water. If you use a natural water source with subsequent purification (well-spring), you need to pay attention to the degree of gas saturation in the water (mainly hydrogen sulfide). The TDS meter will not show this.

What to do if there is no osmosis?
Jennifer7159
Pharmacy purchase "Distillate", ask someone for clean water (after osmosis).

It's not my question, but I'll answer. You can buy bottled water, like drinking purified water; there are many points located throughout the city. The price here is 50 kopecks per liter, but it's important that the seller clearly states that the water is purified by a membrane (not spring, glacial, or well water), that there are no silver-containing post-filters, and finally, to measure the TDS. I found such a point for myself, and I've been getting water for replacement for 1.5 years; the TDS is 9-11 ppm, and there are no extra growths.

And how can you start the sea after that???? If you ask some seller about TDS, you might hear a word that has three letters...
David
It's very simple! Just read the forum a bit and take your time.

An osmotic filter is the cheapest part of the other necessary equipment for the sea. If the question arises that osmosis is expensive, then it's not worth starting a marine aquarium. Unless it's a nano volume of a few liters.

For writing in capital letters, you will be punished. And has Google been banned in Ivano-Frankivsk?

With such an attitude towards your fellow enthusiasts, do you still expect their help?

As everyone has started and continues to do so, for example, I read for six months, communicated in person with fellow sailors, and talked on the phone for hours. Only then did I set up my aquarium and tried not to burden people with my nonsense at that time; instead, I read and studied. Many of my fellow countrymen also created their first topic only after six months or even a year of diligent wandering and learning in marine aquaristics. However, many beginners want everything to be quick and immediate; they want to set everything up and successfully maintain it using someone else's knowledge. No offense, but it's already become frustrating.
