There is information that when using this drug, some SPS "fly away." Into space. Although it seems to remove silicates and phosphates. Or maybe it doesn't remove them at all... Because there have been reports about that too. However, the water becomes clean.
Joseph9203
I used it... from the negative points: it's unclear what happened after using Chimipur, as the euphyllia burned, but I didn't notice anything else bad.
Ask Stas Alpin as well; he told me that specifically Chimipur Elite is used.
Tami
Odessa, do you think it burned down because of him or could it be another reason?
Laura3673
In my aquarium, Chemi-Pure has been running continuously for over 2 years. No negative aspects have been noticed. If something has "gone wrong" for someone, the problem should be sought elsewhere. But one should not hope for a miracle - this is just tuning of a successful system, like charcoal, anti-phosphate, and so on.
Jason
I think it's a random coincidence, Chemipur has nothing to do with it.
Melinda2740
I also use this set, as long as nothing has flown into space. One problem is that it's hard to buy here, and it's expensive too.
Chelsea567
If the aquarium has only 30 liters of water excluding rocks and corals, and the Chemi Pure Elite package is designed for 160 liters, can the entire package be used for such a volume, or is it better to open it and divide it, even though the instructions say that the bag should not be opened?
Steven
I read that it can be opened and divided, but it's better to do it evenly. I just wish I knew why to put this in a 30-liter aquarium? Are acroporas planned?
Stefanie9771
No, most likely, acroporas are not planned... but why shouldn't it be placed in a 30-liter aquarium?
Joseph591
What do acropolises have to do with this????
Here is its annotation:
Stabilizes pH level
Makes aquarium water crystal clear
Neutralizes heavy metals, phenols, ammonia
Neutralizes phosphates (PO4) and silicates (SiO2)
Removes dissolved organic substances
Eliminates foreign odors
Prevents the growth of unwanted algae
Reduces the frequency of water changes
Improves fish appetite
Prevents osmotic shock in fish and invertebrates
Increases the lifespan of fish
Courtney4094
You read such an annotation and think, maybe I should add a couple of spoons to the tea.
Any matter can be taken to absurdity if you lose the sense of proportion.
In a 30-liter aquarium, everything is resolved by weekly water changes of 30%, which is much better than any chemicals.
Zachary
I do make substitutions, but the algae are still present, so I want to try using it to completely remove the phosphates... the only question is whether I can use that much for such a volume.
Kevin8087
1. There will be some algae anyway, it's not a big deal. At one point, I didn't have any fish, so the sterility was because I didn't add any food to the aquarium.
2. Look for a topic on Aqua Logo. This question was often asked there before. I remember that the practical advice options were mainly to open the package and divide the two components proportionally to the volume and put the whole package in, like, it won't get worse.
The growth of lower vegetation only indicates that good conditions have been created for it. We need to look for biological ways to improve water quality. There are several, and they have been described multiple times.

I support Mistreated, try to minimize feeding to the absolute minimum and maintain the system like that for 2-3 weeks... it helped me.
Christopher
Even hermits can be let loose - they'll eat all the greenery.
Christopher
I have algae growing like crazy. I got about 3-4 hermit crabs, 5 strombus snails, and 1 dogfish. And so far, not much result. I'm waiting for Helmon - I have high hopes for it (the aiptasia or whatever they're called have been a pain).
Joshua9340
Helmon doesn't eat grass. There are very few hermits—at least about 20 small ones. Maybe the light spectrum is wrong?
Pamela
I had a package of 160 liters in the DMS 400T5 in my resana. No one died.
Alicia5489
I recently read the translation of the chemical analysis conclusion of Chemi Pur. It turned out that it contains a regular ion exchange resin that does not work in seawater, and the carbon is of far from the best quality. Therefore, it is better to buy carbon and anti-phosphate separately. My Chemi Pur did not remove phosphates.
Randall7906
What do they understand about homeopathy?
Darrell7542
as for me, it's a commissioned crap
Kevin3579
In my opinion, it's definitely a "hyped" product, but in the USA, a scam is unlikely to get through; it's not China, where any deception leads straight to court and that's it! The manufacturer is unlikely to take that risk... especially since the company is famous for more than just this product. Take, for example, the remover for cyano... no matter how you look at it... it works...
Jamie3553
I completely agree! Especially considering that the company has been in the market for 50 years. And for some reason, it was only recently that someone thought of conducting a chemical analysis of the contents...
Andrew7823
And I completely agree. I haven't heard any negative reviews about the high-quality product from anyone in person.
Scott8536
Has a lawsuit been filed against Bumer? By the way, is Red Slim a remover for killing cyanobacteria - is it a miracle powder or a dose of antibiotics?
Nicole2404
Miracles do not happen................like Azal, Professor Preobrazhensky .................this is a clear chemical proportion of the antibiotic............as this drug is generally announced...........and most importantly: it works at 5!
Lee
It's not about miracles, but rather that this is just regular resin and coal, and it's better to buy them separately for better quality. For example, I bought coal and antifouling from Siachem, and the growths started to come off the glass.
