Salifert, Tropic Marin - decent tests. Don't buy extra.
To start, you need to know nitrates, phosphates, and alkalinity. Well, and salinity - but that's with other devices. Although, for your population, I wouldn't buy anything other than a refractometer for now.

And no need.
+1.

Sorry, it may seem like a silly question, but what about pH? After all, it's very important too!
Collin
Use osmosis and salt from a good manufacturer. This is more important for maintaining pH than adding acid or alkali to adjust it. I have not adjusted the pH even once in my 2 years of aquarium experience.

Clown and softness... Ammonium and possibly nitrates... That's it! I wouldn't take any more tests. If there are problems with algae, then we can worry about it, but for now...

The main thing is to buy rock salt, not like I did with fish salt and all sorts of junk because of that... only from trusted sellers, as you can never tell by appearance...
Brian
and name the fish salt brands, besides the well-known Red Sea Salt.

Tropic in Sea Salt is for fish, while Sea Salt PRO-REEF is for corals, right? Then Sea Salt BIO-ACTIF is even better and more suitable for SPS (small-polyped corals), did I get that right?
Rodney7316
That's right.
Jason9952
Usually, people encounter forgery, a bucket from PRO-REEF, and salt from Seasalt; it can only be determined through tests, and then they will say that the tests are fake...
Michelle
Off-topic. To be smart - due to the specifics of the work - "direct" purchases or purchases from an official representative allow avoiding the substitution of buckets and goods.
Erin2730
Yes, that's correct... Seasalt and PRO-REEF look completely identical, and the price difference is not significant, but the composition is different.
Mario
Please let me know where I can buy such salt and from which manufacturer (reasonable price).

The message above is . TM.

Can such salt be used and what is its quality, according to professionals?
Wanda666
I wouldn't recommend using better budget sea salt Tetra ine SeaSalt.
I've been using it for three years, and everything is great.
But I think I will set up a new 700L aquarium and will use sea salt from Tropic in PRO-REEF, which I've been eyeing for a long time.
Patrick4439
I wouldn't advise you to save on salt either; for starting your volume, buy Tropic in PRO-REEF, call IRIF or the Aquarium Center... then you can experiment during water changes if you want.
