Hello. I'm also interested in this topic. Which one did you install? Can you provide the model and parameters (installation date, sulfur volume, aquarium size, flow rate)?

However, if there is only sulfur in the filler, it will be necessary to control the pH... it becomes acidic...

Some may find the topic on RC about DIY denitrators interesting, where the authors share their experiences in great detail.
This issue was also discussed on the forum.

Yes, the water is acidified during operation. The outlet from the reactor either goes through a container with crushed coral/filler or to the inlet of the calcium reactor. There, this acidity will find its application.

Where have you all gone? Does anyone have a working sulfur denitrifier? Or any experience using one? Please respond.

I put out the crumb. The volume of sulfur is 0.5 liters, I poured 2 liters over time. The volume of the aquarium is 300 liters. DIY denitrator. The filler is American. I think I told everything.

How long has it been running? Is there a decrease in nitrates in the test results? How many nitrates are in the system itself? In this article, they recommend choosing the volume of sulfur based on the condition 75-gallon system x .006 = .45 liters of media. So it seems that there is enough sulfur for your volume.

Yes, the conversation has become "dynamic." However, I noticed that you only have 10 posts since registering in December 2007 (2 years ago). At this rate, if we discuss something, it will be by the Olympics in Sochi. :-) Maybe someone else can join the topic?
