Calcium needs to be added, here is the method for adding calcium. You can use any branded calcium supplements, but they are usually also made based on calcium chloride. If there are only a few hard corals and they are small, you can try to manage with adding calcium hydroxide (kalkwasser) for now. Finally, you can set up a calcium reactor to maintain the calcium level in the aquarium.

(If there are still few hard corals and they are small) How to say - small, catalaffilia with a diameter of 30-35 cm, tell me how much calcium it can consume?

Jasmine

We tested freshly prepared water, and the calcium test showed 120????????????, so how can you still trust the tests?

Wendy

Catallaphilia is not a hard coral. It is an LPS. It consumes calcium - but very little.

Emma

Excuse me, since when did LPS (large polyp stony corals) stop being considered hard corals?

Christopher

Maybe they didn't read the instructions completely.

The unread part should state the following: tm Sera reserves the right to incorrect test results at the discretion of the tests themselves... something like that. And what tests are you using?

Laura3673

Tropic Marin - TDS Tkach - really accurate tests, especially for calcium! and magnesium!

Throw it away. Get TM or JBL.

Tropic Marin, Salifert - the best tests!

And yet I want to return to the test results: Even if we assume that the calcium test is inaccurate, the KH titration test is quite good, and it shows KH-6, which already indicates that the calcium is at the lower edge. With such a KH, the available calcium for corals is already insufficient, and you need to think about how you will maintain calcium and KH in the future; otherwise, calcification in corals will stop, and new growth areas of the skeleton will start to "thin out." This is also very noticeable in LPS corals and has negative effects.

It turned out to be much simpler; the measuring cup SERA is not 5 ml (TETRA is not either), so be vigilant, gentlemen!
