will start to fall kN... in practice, it is difficult to achieve balance this way. Calcium will precipitate in the form of calcium carbonate.
Jeffery7866
As of today, KN-14, Ca-460, Mg-1240. I adjusted with Calcium chloride and Magnesium sulfate. KN could still be lowered...
Amanda
If you need to "quickly" raise calcium (360-380) - is calcium chloride available at any pharmacy? What potential pitfalls could there be in this case?
Additional Info:
Before the water change, calcium was 360. In fresh water, it was 380 (1.022, T27). The next day, I changed 30 liters. Control measurement - calcium 250. This is absurd. The test is probably dead.
Eric
250 is definitely madness, and complete at that. I wouldn't rush with the chloride for now. It needs to be double-checked with another test. I always have 2 tests for calcium, currently Salifert and Tropic Marin. (I prefer Tropic Marin more.)
Jesse
Yarik, the test is shining...

Offtopic. You really need at least one acropora in the household. Otherwise, the seriatores are a bit inert, but the acro would immediately signal its well-being.
Joyce
How can you tell by the acre that there is a calcium deficiency?
Danny
Offtopic: J.K. and SPSs dissolve.

Appearance, growth points, delaminations.

What are detachments?????
Eric8832
I don't know about the acre, but regarding the aquarium - if there is a slight film on the glass at the waterline, it means there is enough calcium. It's a sign.

It is generally difficult to determine a deficiency of potassium or calcium in acropora. They simply stop growing (and for a long time). It is much easier to visually see the imbalance in seriatopora (the growth tips do not become as white).
Justin
Offtopic I have seen problems in the tanks due to calcium from photos, not in person. They were peeling off - as if the living tissue was separating from the main part of the coral. (But maybe this is for other reasons - I didn't read the translation carefully.) Regarding growth points, +1.
As for the Seriatopora, it seems to me that there is a rather prolonged reaction period (up to a week) - after the water change, the growth points "elongate," while in the old water they "shorten."

Good afternoon. Today I measured the CN and Ca. Ca-410, CN-11.5. Could you please tell me if such an imbalance is critical? If so, how can I reduce the imbalance? I am using TM balling, Salit tests.
Tanner
pour more calcium. clearly, there is a lot of hydroxide being poured
Emma
I pour the same amount of all solutions, but KOH just skyrocketed, while the calcium content is increasing slowly. I will then only pour solution A (CaCl2) and salt without salt for now.
Brian6895
In this case, do not add salt without salt. Only add calcium until the KH drops to 7 and the calcium rises to 450, and then add all three solutions in equal doses.
