John828

Thank you very much for the detailed description with drawings!!! I think many will find it interesting. Wishing you a successful launch and smooth sailing!!! We look forward to the continuation and the next photos!

Gene1948

Um... so you hinted to your wife that if there’s no sea, then the wife is only the first? (that’s if you remove the "dash") But overall, it’s a good topic, and the main thing is that it’s completely fresh! I’m very interested in the detailed process of launching, building the stones, etc... 1. Don’t you think there will be too little light? 2. Isn’t the current a bit weak?

Matthew7977

Well, finally!!! Seryoga - hurry up and get ready.

Spencer7805

The first reason. My wife is already my second, and my daughter is grown up, and I am already 47, if the calendar is not lying.

Yolanda

Well, everything seems clear and beautiful with the aquarium! My congratulations. But there is still a question about the vacation... Who will monitor the maturation process during the vacation?

Travis572

I'm already confused... But in any case, I made a note in parentheses in my post. How do you plan to launch? Will you add live sand? Only new water or "live" water? Stones? How many? What is the concept and idea?

Meghan

It's no longer a question. There’s no vacation - work doesn't allow it. For a full sea with hard corals - it won't be enough. But I'm not ready for that yet. I'll redo it if necessary. I don't know.

Brianna

just two nano for 900 liters... well, for such an aquarium... I would say it's very little... I have two tunze for 2500 liters, and I'm also considering replacing one with a tunze for 4500 liters per hour

Derek7322

Very rough calculation: S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) and L.C. (live rocks) in a ratio of 3/2. Why rough? Weight cannot be compared, and the "maturity" and how alive the L.C. (live rocks) are play a role. Simply put, I will try to lay the foundation of the reef with S.R.C. (dry reef rocks). Then, I will observe for a month or two and add L.C. (live rocks) on top. I'm not in a hurry. This topic is not about "fast launching/relaunching" the sea. I have managed such experiments in freshwater. (Damn, I wanted to find a reference, but I can't.)

James4757

Seryoga, allow me to greet another sailor who has joined our squadron in your person, and a sailor with quite serious intentions and a competent approach to the matter.

Christine864

I created the topic to gain knowledge, not to show off anything. Believe me, as the super moderator of this forum, that's enough for me.

Larry

Aren't you afraid of a second launch, if you have to wait a month or two and then deal with the live rocks? Well, I'm not calling it that, I'm just saying how it is for me, and it seemed to me that for such an aquarium the current would be a bit low... I'm just sharing my experience and what I've noticed in my own sea... I'm not hindering the acquisition of knowledge.

Ronald

Since 1993, when I started seriously engaging with the sea, all my vacations have been and still are limited to 3-4 day trips to the Black Sea for marine life. A marine aquarium cannot be left unattended for long. It can get upset...

Jacqueline6670

CONGRATULATIONS on the start! The size of the aquarium is just right; I actually have an aquarium of the same size, I also launched an aquarium of the same size! So we have an addition to our ranks! Well then! Good luck!

Jessica6754

If it weren't for you, no one would be allowed to...

Cheryl9296

I wanted to ask, it's not visible in the photo - are there grooves where the overflow combs will be attached in the drainage shaft?

Rachel9060

Colleagues (can I call you that?), if you need more detailed photos - no problem (wherever I can reach). I don't know. As I understand, they are installed on top of the glass? Well, it's not a big deal, I can carve that myself. Just the dimensions... Tolya, that's a separate question...

Natalie

Are the scallops available? Do the sizes match the dimensions of the shaft?

Joshua8425

I don't know what "second launch" is, so I can't be afraid of it. BUT!!! I will not launch until it says "it's okay." No. There is plastic. Off-topic. Well, there is a file, a chisel, a hammer, .... Well, if that's not enough - a CNC milling machine.

Diana8604

That's right - if it is attached to "my" dimensions - they are installed flush.

Lauren

Of course, it's your decision. I would give your Resun Wave Maker 15000 to NOX to have him work on it. I'm sure you will be satisfied with the performance of this device; I have the same one, and it seems like you do too. The whole aquarium sways, creating a wave effect back and forth. The Resun Wave Maker 15000 doesn't come close to providing that effect, so think about it, and the length of the aquarium really calls for waves. Best regards.

David3217

While I don't have finances yet, I will also deal with the flow, of course, "in practice." I am NOT against the flow. It's just that I have NO experience with marine aquariums; I am simply a novice in this matter. And if you think it's easy for me to debate with you on the topic of flow, then... All I wanted to say is that a specific biotope in a marine aquarium requires a certain flow. Ksenia needs more, someone else needs less. BUT!!! They all require flow.

Christina9947

Odessa sold me his wave. I will still get a Tunze because the controller on this DIY one is driving me crazy, and the size of the wavebox too. I'm glad I got a used one for 600, that's one thing that makes me happy; I'd rather choke on 1400. Sergey, good luck with the setup.

James5103

1. Well, as an alternative to J.C. (live rocks), even a couple of kg can have bacteria; as far as I remember, they are much cheaper, but they will also start to populate the aquarium... 2. No dispute, just an opinion from the outside. That's why I gave an example of my aquarium and the current I have. 3. And of course, I agree that each coral needs its own current. But that will come with experience.

Dennis

Salted S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) from the sea. To be precise, it's not S.R.C. (dry reef rocks), but semi-living rocks. One even had a live coral, but I didn't notice it right away, rinsed it with fresh water, and it became hard. It probably died. For "seeding" with bacteria, I poured 60 liters of seawater (brought from Belosarayka). The rest is osmosis + Tetra salt.

Danielle

unlikely............

Yolanda

healthy cobblestones! But why did they take such big stones? It's harder to make something out of them...

Andrea9320

That's the beauty of DIY, a chisel, a hammer, and a saw - let your imagination run wild. Cut and chop to your liking, and you'll have a great base.

Debra

It wouldn't be bad to "wash" them with a Kärcher, there's a lot of dead organic matter there.

Stephanie4990

You could simply soak it in fresh water for about three days, changing the water in the process (just like they soak driftwood).

William5838

I didn't do anything with these dry reef rocks from the same batch - I just took them and immediately put them in the aquarium. I asked someone, and he said that at first they also washed and rinsed them, but then realized it was pointless. And the dry reef rocks are actually great - I got them three months ago - some of them even had algae, but they didn't survive. The dry reef rocks are really fresh; they have only recently become dry reef rocks. By the way, many of the dry reef rocks have already started to grow coraline.

Danielle8118

Seryoga, we're waiting for the photo of the protoreef... have you posted it yet?

Barbara8192

It looks like M.S.R.K. (dry reef stones), or dry L.K. (live stones), or semi-dead L.K. (live stones), or whatever else you want to call it, but the main thing here is the end result. That it is positive is confirmed. So there’s no need to worry about flushes, cleanings... The system will work, of course not immediately, but everything will fall into place quite quickly... Just like with Sanya... These two aquariums are twin brothers, with the only difference being that Sanya's was born 2 months earlier...

George5104

Well, it seems to fit my volume fine. Not yet. I've just roughly placed the stones for now. The water is still murky; once it clears up, I'll work on the arrangement. The same thing. Many stones had a green coating.

Alan273

On the contrary. You start to piece together the shards, but they keep falling apart; you try to hold them together, but it’s still not right...

Daniel132

Exactly!!! This is cured J.K. (living stones). Seroga, have you sniffed them? They smell like the sea - but I have natural S.R.K. (dry reef stones), they don't smell at all and the video of it is a dead rock, when it comes to life, who knows. And those Carolinas are already (I repeat) beautiful by the way - red.

Alicia5489

Well, they definitely didn't smell like rotten meat.

Reginald5073

They smelled of iodine - not to be confused with our Jedi Yoda.

Teresa

I bought a stone today (a former coral) weighing 5 kg... I thought it would be plenty... now I regret not buying another one just like it... I found some algae inside... and some dried fish (probably for beer), but overall the stone smells like fish. I rinsed it under running water and that's it...

William1830

Probably, the sprat smells like the sea.

Jacqueline5976

I had to buy beer for that reason.

John1464

Off-topic Everything is doomed - I knew the sea was a disease, but to sniff beer like a stone or lick it or gnaw on it - that's already a clinic. Sanya I found homemade wine in the fridge as a gift - it was brought a month ago - I think I'll try it, I still can't get enough - it turned out to be super wine.

Yvette209

Yes, S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) as a snack is cool!!! "Hannover's aquarium enthusiasts of marine aquaristics are the most serious in the world. They even snack on S.R.C. (dry reef rocks) with their beer!!!" (C) It's kind of analogous to the Chelyabinsk ones...

Jessica5016

Yesterday, my wife and her sister were flipping through the book "Reef Aquarium." I spent the whole evening answering the question, "Will you have corals like these?"

Natasha7622

Wow!!! The suction - it passes quickly - I was tortured like that with fish, but I managed to get a lot of money for proper equipment on this wave - saying that fish need it like in that picture.

Cheryl

something like this!

Holly

Here we go, the heat is on, hold on tight.

Christine864

I wonder how many days after salting all sorts of nastiness usually appears?

Jacob4800

Which one? The thread? It actually made me happy at first... like, at least there’s some life in the pile of glass and water.

Leah

In the first tank, I didn't have any "ripening" at all, in the quarantine tanks for about a week... but in the new tank, it hasn't happened yet, but it just got loaded (since yesterday).

Maria6659

It is rather pleasing that some kind of process is visible.

Jade

Another impatient one.

Melissa3820

No, I still have a lot of work to do with him, there's plenty to keep me busy.

Marie5348

This depends on many reasons, Seryoga. Start by not overdoing it with the light, create a good O2 regime, don't rush with the livestock, and use phosphate-free charcoal.

David7773

There is no light yet, and there is only water up to half the aquarium (the plumbing still needs to be finished), and there are no living creatures either. So for now, this isn't even a startup, just soaking the dry reef rocks. I didn't plan to get dirty this weekend; at least I bought everything I needed in advance.

Gene1948

Congratulations on the launch! The system will still need some fine-tuning. You've already been advised on how to reduce noise in the Durso, and the same goes for the skimmer and the drying compartment. The most important thing right now is the biology. We still need quality live rock, macrophytes, water from an established aquarium, etc. P.S. Is it possible to show a full photo of the sump?

Brianna

Oxygen-saturated water from the foam generator should flow into the display, i.e., it should not be recirculated.

Aaron

The quality is certainly terrible:

Justin9867

Is there a small hole in the drain pipe near the water level? When the return pump is turned off, does the water not get pulled back?

Stephen

It pulls up to a certain level. I already wrote in the post above.

Jessica

I'm sorry, I overlooked it... To prevent any overflow (I had a small flood), I simply drilled a hole near the drain nozzle, above the standard water level, and the problem disappeared into oblivion...

Joe

I also thought about doing that, but it turned out that it wasn't necessary; the water level drops by 1.5 cm.

Mitchell3177

But how will the mine stand without a comb?

Anthony4281

I had the same experience at first, then I installed a guiding nozzle, and the drain went into the water by 3 cm, maybe a little more, and that's when I got a flood. So I recommend not to forget. Although if the sump allows, it's not necessary.

Keith7534

There will be a comb, I just haven't bought it yet.

Teresa

Thanks, I'll keep track of when I put the comb on.

Joseph8842

Congratulations, I'm also close to the launch, I'm a couple of weeks behind you. I don't understand in Samp what role the capacity plays - the one around the small area where the pen holder is, or did I miss something? Or is it just a shelf for the pen holder?

Ryan1989

automatic refill capacity

Anna9752

I want to thank our Donetsk aquarist Igor for his tremendous help in setting up the aquarium!!!

Natasha7622

Here comes the first wildlife.

Judy

Offtopic Serёga... could you at least Photoshop me, huh? After beer, my face is as red as a lobster. What if my fate visits the site - and I'm not in shape. My personal life is gone) Come on, start laying down the J.K. (living stones) little by little. Light for the softness will work, you built a decent lamp. Everything will turn out fine. By the way, we still haven't decided what's better - distillate or osmosis)

Gary6376

The photo was taken with a mobile phone - you can't really see anything. I'll lay down the J.K. (living stones) before the weekend.

Cassandra7840

I wonder what these "millipedes" are crawling in my aquarium on the live rocks? ...................... Polychaetes?

Brent5588

Just don't touch it with your fingers - it will itch for a long time. Dig around here - you might find something interesting for yourself.

Brent5588

By the way, Igor, there are four hermits, but you brought three, it seems. Olya found another one, a small one.

Karen2578

I was promised to catch some more klebanarius. So if they bring them, I'll bring them over. You need more for your bath.

Ronald

There is also a place to dig here. A bunch of illegal immigrants.

Nicholas2252

Yes, they have plenty of space there now.

Curtis9143

It seems here are my hermits:

Stephanie3084

I laid down 10 kg of live rock: There is plenty of this kind of life on the glass: This is "from below": This is "from above": What is this?

Justin

Asterinks

Heather

I want to add something about the asterinas. They reproduce well in the aquarium and are detritivores. However, they can suppress clove polyps and parazoanthids, especially when they are numerous. I have repeatedly noticed them on the clove polyps, removed them, and transplanted them to other aquariums.

Beth3383

Asterina stars?

Kevin

What is that on the stone behind the coral? Is it artificial acropora? This is of course your aquarium, but to me it looks unnatural... It would be better to populate it with live corals later, and also... this was of course your choice, but to me the dry reef rocks are not quite well chosen, they are too large and round. I sent you the leftovers; at the very beginning, there were many dry reef rocks, and all the beautiful ones were picked out...

Charles

However, the stones are long and flat, so interesting structures can be built (Star, check out the aquariums of Taki and Sanek). It's better not to postpone this process, so that later you can just play with the corals.

Meghan

Seryoga is great!!! Personally, I really like the current situation with Kanev!!!

Zoe7451

There is nothing artificial there at all. The acropora is dead, it stood like a souvenir. The shells are also real - I tossed them to the hermits. I will still play around with the stones, there is time for now. You can't create a nice, beautiful composition all at once. Sometimes it's enough to just move one stone.

Brent8919

Sanya, thank you for the support. But the guys are also right about something. I'm not completely satisfied myself yet.

David3217

I like the concept - and then you can rearrange it a couple more times.

Wendy

Everything will be fine, MOSCOW wasn't built in a day.

Luis3725

I try to adhere to the concept, but the right stones are not always available. We generally don't have places to go and dig. In the meantime, I was laying the foundation of the reef and the foundation of balance. I will buy a few more stones, but already "individually."

Stacy6866

Seryozha, you still have everything ahead of you... And for a start, it's not bad at all. Let's see what the makeup designers will say when there are fish in the aquarium, and an additional 20% of good live rocks will be added. Why "divide the skin of a bear that hasn't been killed yet"?

Luis3725

Off-topic - tonight we have an evening of humor.

Erin2730

Thank you for the advice. This weekend, I will set up the lights and finish arranging the stones, as it also depends on the lighting (the play of shadows).

Nicholas2252

What kind of light will it be? The play of light and shadow won't be provided by LLL, it will come from a good MG light or LED.

Cassandra7840

I agree. I misspoke; it should have been written "With the light on....." The T5 light is 480 watts.

Aaron

Why T5 specifically? I actually prefer metal halide in a marine aquarium; the aquarium looks much more "interesting." It's easier to install than a bunch of tubes in a fixture, it penetrates light very deeply, and invertebrates respond better to metal halide light since zooxanthellae need bright light. Overall, it's all advantages.

Nicole2404

I wouldn't say that, there are also downsides to keeping softness and LPSs in MG.

Amanda

Check the colors of the SPSs at T5 on the reef center.

Emma

That's exactly why it's a matter of taste. I don't like MG, and I didn't have them even in fresh water. Besides, I don't plan to keep anything overly complicated. For me, it's just for the soul.

David953

There are different types of MG, and how many SPS are there in our aquariums? You should take a look at Fedor's aquarium for an example.

Stefanie9771

Could you please provide a bit more detail? A person with the nickname Arovana strongly recommended MG for softness on the fan site. Sorry for posting in your thread.

Johnny

And the bunnies?

Justin

I wrote my post because you mentioned bunnies, but there are no bunnies in LL, it's like the overcast weather in LL.

John5528

You are mistaken; the animals sold here live at shallow depths on the coral reefs of Indonesia, the Red Sea, etc. When I was on the reefs and snorkeling, I saw a vivid picture of the play of light and shadows. With focused light, you can create both bright and darker areas in the aquarium.

Jennifer9100

Perhaps I'm not stating a fact, but expressing my opinion. You can create a beautiful game with spot lighting, but I don't see the point in making ALL the light spot lighting. And the second problem is that I can't make the aquarium completely open from the top yet.

Justin9867

Here you are wrong. You can't catch them with a camera. But at least there's a video, even if it's of poor quality. Light - LL.

Kristen2246

With T5 lamps, you can highlight all the colors of corals, which cannot be done with metal halides. It seems to me that for more than half of the forum, aquariums are for the soul. When I started, I also thought there would be one anemone and a couple of clownfish (for the soul), but the result was about 30 species of SPS alone.

Darlene4238

In reality, it's more complicated. What does "brighten the colors" mean? The color is not actually the same as WE see it. We simply choose the lamps in such a way that the color appears as we imagine it. And of course, we make sure that this spectrum is also pleasing to the corals.

Sherri1320

A lot depends on the design of the lamp itself, on the design of the reflector. I currently have a 100-50-50 aquarium with one 250-watt lamp, and with a Gisman reflector, it illuminates almost the entire aquarium. The lamp does not get too hot; you can safely hold the housing in your hands, and the starter is separate from the lamp. There is also a regular household lamp of 150 watts; if you hang it over the aquarium, it only illuminates the central part of the aquarium. The glass is included with the lamp, and you can install a lamp with 15-20 thousand Kelvin, and the corals will fluoresce just as well as with metal halide.

Brandon9634

Can I see a photo of your aquarium to evaluate it, as there are many words but... P.S. I love when beautiful speeches are supported by showing photos of their aquariums, but for those who can't do that, they are just talkers for me. So please be kind.

Anne

Each coral has its own color and shade, which is enhanced or suppressed under certain lighting conditions. Light is a delicate matter; there are as many opinions as there are people. I don't need to look far; Tatiana has an aquarium that deserves the highest praise on many forums, and this is not an exaggeration. Many have seen her aquarium photos, and it is lit with T5 lights, the colors are superb, and the growth is excellent. If you need bunnies (I personally don't like them), you can install about four powerful LEDs at an angle to the water, and there will be bunnies.

Katie5500

Tolya, we need a UV light with VERY high power to penetrate 2 cm of water. The protective glass is a safety standard requirement; otherwise, you'll end up like Chuck (he was walking around blind for two days).

Melinda2740

It's not about the brand, it's about the spectrum. Usually, for LED lights, it's given in color temperature. White-blue is 6500K and above. The higher, the "bluer."

Lee425

Blue? You probably expressed yourself incorrectly. The color temperature of a lamp's glow corresponds to the light emitted by a metal heated to a certain temperature. Metal does not become "blue" when heated; rather, it becomes whiter. A bluish tint appears at 20,000K, and even then... Also, do not confuse spectrum and color temperature. Lamps with the same color temperature can have very different spectral characteristics.

John1464

Am I correct in understanding that, roughly speaking, the color temperature written on the lamp is the arithmetic mean of the spectral characteristics?

Vanessa

What do centimeters have to do with it, if after removing the protective glass from the MH lamp, some of the fish started to curl up and then completely bent over? I saw it myself. And if doubts still gnaw at you, I send you back to the guide "Reef Aquarium," open to page 142. If that doesn't work, try conducting such an "interesting" experiment yourself.

Jonathon8514

Almost. But 2+3-1=4 and 5+6-7=4, but the addends are not equal to each other, right? The same goes for lighting. Color temperature is good, but it is the spectrum that affects the color of living things that we see.

Amber

no.

Rita

Well, we are concerned with 2 factors. 1. The appearance and color of the livestock. 2. The necessary spectrum for coral growth. That’s why white lights are used for aesthetics and blue-purple lights for coral growth.

Robin

You are a little mistaken; it depends on the type of lamp. If it has a double socket, it should not be installed without glass. However, if it has a single socket, it can be installed without glass without any issues.

Laura7633

The discussion here is about the harm of UV radiation and protection against it.

Natalie

You can place them without glass at least in a freshwater aquarium with plants, the plants get stressed quite a bit. For single-socket lamps, in addition to the lamp itself, there is a protective second casing, so they do not need to be shielded with glass.

James5032

I was messing around with the stones. Just like always. I thought about moving a couple of them, but in the end, Olya and I moved the entire reef. I won't do it again; I got what I wanted.

Robin

Thoughtful, normal... But the second stone on the left should be placed horizontally, as it looks like it has fallen over... Overall, I like it; there are platforms for landing creatures.

Debra8438

The right part is absolutely amazing!!!!

Mitchell3177

already better, much better...............

Leah

This is a photo of me. It actually lies very steadily there. And the left part will change a bit more, depending on what the J.K. (living stones) will be later.

Chad231

Olya was doing

Jessica9188

Colleagues, please advise where and which corals are better to plant.

Hannah

Off-topic, well, well... everyone says that) like, "I'll just plant some actinia, a couple of clowns, and that's it. For the soul. Modestly and with taste." Meanwhile, the soul is looking around, rubbing its hands and thinking, "What else can I get and launch?" Appetite comes with eating.

Anne

Magnifico, but... it's still too early for me.

Elizabeth1221

The guys gave me algae for my birthday. Off-topic. How I welcomed them is a whole separate story. Igor gave me two corals, Ksenia and Sinularia. So now I have some living creatures.

Wendy2244

Algae. Photo: 1. Halimeda. 3. Batrachospermum. 4. Gracilaria. 5. Halimeda. 6. No data 7. Chetomorpha. 8. Phyllophora. 9. Caulerpa prolifera.

Kevin3579

Offtopic. Seryozha, don't lose the little fungus under Ksenia. Sometimes they travel around the aquarium without asking. It will turn green in the light.

Holly

I saw. Purple discoactinia. For now, it is staying in place.

John1464

I conducted water tests: kH - 10 pH - 7.7 NH4 - 0 NO3 - 12 PO4 - 0.2 Ca - 440

Wendy8540

Seryoga, buy magnesium.

Christopher

I will definitely buy it. For now, I measured with what I have.

Debra8438

and the pH is a bit low... at least make it an eight. Are you not turning off the pump and the flow for an hour?

Katie5500

No, I'm not turning it off. I measured the pH with a test, but they always lie. It needs to be measured with electronics.

Tricia7885

Did you measure the pH early in the morning?

Eric8832

No, in the evening, around 9.

Jason9952

Off-topic, but when will we be able to read about the friends' meeting?))))

Alejandro

Discovered "stowaways": Looks like Stoella. The second one resembles a crawling hat of black velvet color: What is this?!

Judy

Most likely, it's one of the nudibranchs. However, the coloration didn't turn out well.

Kristin

Well, maybe a little more...

Stacy6866

Thank you!!!

Ryan

Morning analysis of the patient's urine

Joshua3019

Seryoga-aaaa!!!! Did you happen to make an Excel-like file that automatically builds the test results into a graph? The graph clearly shows the dynamics back and forth. I've been struggling with template graphs in Excel for two days and still haven't figured it out - it turns out to be some nonsense for me.

Patrick4439

I did. I still have it like that now, but there are no measurements yet, so what can we build the graphs from? Send me your file - I'll do it.

Julia

I have an empty file titled Book-344. I planned to systematize everything from the papers - for my father-in-law every day (while I have the chance). It would be great to have the date on the X-axis and the series with KN-RN-SA-MG-NO3-PO4 on the Y-axis - in short, like you do.

John1464

It will be more convenient to have a separate chart for each parameter. This way, the dynamics of changes can be clearly seen.

Jessica5016

So fill in the data and send the file, I'll make the charts for you, then just extend the date range and that's it.

Jennifer5784

And it won't work with just one. The ranges of the measured values are too different.

John3432

By the way, the show-offs, as Sanya says, are quite "edible".....

Christine864

Well, that's great.

Caroline1599

Seryoga thought for a moment and decided to put the "tests" into Excel if he was going to approach it seriously. To have a ready-made template, he would input the test results into it, and let them be stored - from there, he could just press a button and get a graph for the necessary period or manipulations. Or maybe a bright mind will come up with some software for this purpose.

Dawn6148

In Access, there is a lot of headache at first, but then something might come out of it. It won't work in 2-3 minutes like in Excel; I just tried it.

Christopher1774

Assessment is just not serious. And you won't be able to extract graphs from there. You'll need at least Delphi + FastReport. Excel is perfect for such purposes, you don't have millions of records. There is ready-made software called Aquarix. I can give it to you, though I have version 4.16. It builds graphs and even suggests when to change the water and replace the lamps.

Barbara8192

Off-topic, oh yes, very serious. I wrote a database for my business "Personnel Accounting" in 1998 - it does everything, even connects with the Dutch office, synchronizes, and automatically generates special documents. But I've become old and lazy - although the database will consist of 20 fields, it's still cool. Oh, it would be interesting to take a look - but usually, in such software, there's a mountain of unnecessary stuff.

David4089

Be a friend - send me the software - otherwise, all the links for downloading ask for a mobile number and SMS - I don't want to expose my mobile online, I have a lot of cards and money linked to it.

Joshua9340

Sanya, are you reading your messages?

Cheryl9296

Another "stowaway" (although it could also be from): Ophiura. I assume Ophiolepis superba.

Russell8484

After the repairs and some modifications (I simply glued the legs to the body of the skimmer and replaced the feet on the pump with wider and taller ones, as it was very noisy), the skimmer finally worked properly (in my understanding). In a day, it collected 150 grams of skimmate the color of apple juice (I don't know if that's good or bad).

Ryan7682

Interesting fact: Last Friday, I placed J.K. (live rocks) from another aquarium. The entire rock was covered with bright spots of cyanobacteria. By this morning, not a single spot remained (not even a tiny one). A question for colleagues - does this mean anything?

Todd8452

Maybe it was Carolina?

Janet5447

Well, I can't say, I'm not an expert. Bright pink spots with a light border, like lichen. It looks a bit like that in the photo. If it was her and she's gone, that's a bad sign. Although the aquarium is still in the process of being set up. At least there are no diatoms or other nastiness.

Patricia1746

No, not superba. These are "my" freeloaders. I brought them to you with the first stone. Asteroids (damn them), polychaetes, and ophiuroids, which, by the way, I also inherited from a). They will be small, the ophiuroids, with a reddish-purple center.

Debra

Carolina! She will recover later - if you want.

Katie3017

Wow, those are "small." The one in the photo is bigger than a ruble coin.

Hannah

So, if she is gone, then .... 1. something is missing. 2. there is too much of something. The question is WHAT???

Elijah7048

Off-topic Have you seen an adult superbug?) I had a horse the size of a good palm crawling around... My daughter screamed when she saw it.

Rita

Seryozha, Karolina doesn't just disappear out of nowhere. It's just that among the incrusting types, there can be varieties whose structure is quite fragile and responsive to changes in conditions. Karolina, if it's the real Karolina, can't be easily pulled away, and if she decides to vanish, it won't be right away.

Jennifer

So it wasn't Carolina. It's a pity I didn't take a photo. It looked beautiful. Well, maybe it will show up again.

Michelle1662

Finally finished the light and power unit, which is also the control unit: The dimensions of the unit were chosen based on the principle of "to fit into the furniture." Functions of the unit: 8 channels of manual control with indication; 8 channels of automatic control (from timers, temperature sensors, pH sensor); pH and EC measurement; temperature measurement (8 sensors); control from buttons or from a computer via USB port. It can also maintain an hourly log of measurements throughout the day. The memory is non-volatile + a battery to power the processor core during power outages.

Jade

to me, the lid looks too bulky...............

Veronica

Looking at the lid, the first thing that came to mind was a clear example of what is a Base and what is a Superstructure. And the color doesn't fit either. "Something needs to be decided..." Although sorry. There's no arguing about tastes, it's pure.

Nicole2404

Why not just hang a light fixture from cables to the ceiling and remove all these side clutter? It will look stylish, and you can adjust the height of the light fixture to the water level with the cables, plus the water won't heat up as much as it would inside that "POWERFUL" lid.

Nicole7122

Unfortunately, it's not about the taste; it's a requirement from my beloved wife - the lid is MANDATORY!!! So I had to get creative. It turned out to be a kind of "lid-light." Well, we'll see how it goes from there. The light itself is removable - it just sits on the base, so taking it off and hanging it up is a matter of a couple of hours (hanging it up takes just a minute). For now, it's fine as it is. I wanted to focus on making the light. By the way, in the photo, the lid actually looks almost bigger than the aquarium; that's how distorted the perspective is.

Elizabeth882

How many fans are working for cooling? Is there a photo from above? (to show the internals)

Wendy2244

Why doesn't the color of the chipboard of the cabinet match the color of the top? And what is the distance from the light fixture to the water? Is the light fixture positioned too high?

Rodney3101

I didn't install coolers; I had a 7-unit air conditioner specifically installed. To see the filling, you need to remove the light fixture. What are you interested in regarding the filling? Here it is, 20 cm. I think it's fine. For corals and fish, it doesn't really matter. It doesn't match because all the other furniture in the room is the color of the lid. Unfortunately, this cabinet is not the right color.

Denise

Next tests.

Linda

I understand that you are diligently measuring both JBL and Ptero. However, there are discrepancies in the results. One more question: how did you get a value of 0.05 for the Ptero test on NO2? Do you have any other tests? On the color scale, I only have "less than 0.3" and 0.3. Are there any special tests for the sea?

Martin3206

The management was implemented - well done, no one even noticed = I no longer have everything on the controllers... And the cover is still just a name... maybe it should have been made from acrylic for the sides?

Holly

Less than 0.1 but there is something. So 0.05 Tests from the new series.

Larry9400

I'm not arguing. I'm waiting for my wife to make sure there's no significant dampness from the sea, then I'll take down the light fixture and hang it up. It was important for me to install the light. That was the plan, but there was no acrylic, and doubts are gnawing at me—there will be splashes, salt will dry, and the transparency will be lost.

Raven7170

The humidity will be high, especially in winter; I had water on my windows. I need a dehumidifier.

James4757

The air conditioner has a function like that, it seems to work.

Stephanie4990

I have about 5 liters spoiled per day - there are no issues with humidity at all. Regarding the acrylic glass - I have light from A on acrylic legs = again, there are no problems so far, it looks decent.

Phillip9722

For now, it will stay like this. If I can't convince Olga, I'll redo the sides in acrylic. Right now, the launch process is more important to me.

Robert1845

The pipefitters spread their cunning nets:

Amanda

I apologize. Which air conditioner are you referring to?

Melissa3820

Midea

Kevin8087

If there is a link to the air conditioner, I would like to see its specifications.

Jason5071

Yes, there are plenty of them on the internet.

Joe

If it comes to using it in winter at -7 degrees outside, it cannot be used, like most air conditioners.

Jason

Off-topic, the "dehumidification" function is available in many air conditioners, even in my cheap "Saturn," but in winter, not all air conditioners can be turned on - you will have to either ventilate frequently or install "micro-ventilation" on the windows or a comb on the handle (I think almost everyone has plastic by now) - there won't be water on the windows, but increased humidity will still be present to some extent.

Amy1672

Does saltwater evaporate more than freshwater?

Joseph9203

Off-topic, I can't answer this question - the freshwater aquarium was under a lid with 2 lamps, while the saltwater (also under a lid for six months) had 4 lamps, which led to slightly more evaporation, and with the fixture, it was a bit more. I can't say for sure how it would be under the same conditions.

Sarah

Yes, evaporation occurs a bit more actively because the temperature needed for seawater is higher than for freshwater, so the water boils faster.

Larry9400

Well, here you are wrong... for Discus fish, the water temperature is normally 28-29°C, while at the sea it is 25-26°C...

George5104

Seryoga - Medea is a very decent Keta who will give many an advantage - just look at the oil in the engine, it will work at least at -15°C - or in the manual it says "winter temp." In general, humidity in a room depends on many factors => ventilation, air exchange => temperature of heating devices. For example, my radiators are set to a temperature of +70-75°C - I have an aquarium at home as Tor prescribed - the radiators dry it out a lot.

Sarah7284

In my opinion, the only drawback of this air conditioner is that it can only be programmed for one day. On the other hand, it encourages discipline.

Thomas5021

I have had this air conditioner for 4 years, operating in 2 modes, saving us from the heat in summer and from the cold in winter. It has never needed repairs. The only thing that needs to be done every summer at the beginning of use is to clear the condensate drain tube with a wire; otherwise, water will leak into the house. Mice can settle there and clog the drain. Sometimes there is poor assembly during the installation of the unit. A week of operation and the refrigerant is gone, but that's another topic...

Jessica9188

Can you tell me what this has grown into?

John3187

Maybe it came from the Red Sea? It looks like seaweed. What does it feel like?

Christine

Of medium hardness, the entire bush springs back when pressed. The current has no effect on it - it does not sway under it.

William

Is it soft like water or hard like coral?

Megan

Semi-rigid. Not as stony as hard corals, but not soft either. I can't provide any analogues.

Cassandra7840

This algae, Hypnea pannosa, has grown in my live rock, forming a beautiful purple cap and is eagerly eaten by tangs. Check out this interesting link about algae and save it for yourself.

Daniel132

Thanks!!! It seems I won't have surgeons, it's a pity about the beauty.

Anne

Latest photos

Danielle

My brothers would be here!!! In a couple of weeks, there would be nothing left.

Stacey4437

That's why I don't really want surgeonfish.

Nicole

but beaauuutiful

Emily3144

but they eat ............

Robin

but it doesn't overgrow

Chad4168

Because of these algae, should we not buy surgeons? Then why m.a..

Caleb6320

Is it only surgeons that the world revolves around? There are many other beautiful fish. However, the future will show; once the corals grow, maybe there won't be any space left for macrophytes, then...

Eric

Once I thought so too, and I mainly kept surgeons in the fish tank. Various macrophytes thrived in the reef. Over time, one outcompeted the other. Now there are no macrophytes in the reef. Instead, three large surgeons live there.

Sarah7284

These are some of the most beautiful fish, I can confidently say, having two surgeons!

Caitlin3279

No, but in this volume, they look beautiful. The angels are also beautiful, and the size is suitable. I agree with that.

Diana3118

Photos of old and new corals Sinalaria dura Xenia New + Clavularia viridis Protopalythoa sp Discosoma sp Pachyclavularia spp Swiftia exserta Sarcophyton crassicaule I couldn't identify these The names are of course given approximately, others, please correct if anything.

Anthony4281

It looks very nice, I wouldn't mind having something like that. P.S. I have something similar, but the color is closer to dark, as if something is dying.

Megan

In reality, it is indeed darker, the color is closer to purple.

Aaron580

Sinularia dura is the correct name for this coral. Photo 9 is nothing more than an underdeveloped protopalith, photo 10 is clavularia, and photo 11 is a small sarcophyton.

Andrea

In all the photos of the clavularia that I've seen, the tentacles have "cilia," but here they don't. Tolya, they have never fully opened for me or the seller. He says there is such a species, but he doesn't remember the name. Thanks!!!

Jeffrey496

There may be such a form. It is necessary to search for information on the internet and in reference books.

Amber1273

I saw some like that too and thought that the aquarium doesn't have water, but a swamp! Like, even the umbrellas are closed.

Russell8484

In the "Reef Aquarium," there are none, I didn't find any on serious sites, and on non-serious ones, well, I don't need to tell you how much nonsense is written there.

Michelle1505

Off-topic. Well, I might dig around today and see if I find something...

Laurie3842

I understand this is some kind of zoanthid. The upper one looks very similar.

Spencer7805

Such (or very similar) ones only appear at night under the "moon," and even then, not always.

Christopher4125

No, mine close at night - I checked.

Luis3725

it just opens up like that I don't know the scientific term, but the person who sells this type here on the forum writes "toilet system"

Courtney4094

I was also called that, I was responding to Anatoly when he said that they just didn't open up.

James5032

Tolya, you are right as always. This is Pachyclavularia violacea, a synonym of Clavularia viridis.

Alexander

Did they come from A? Then it's definitely them. I had several openings... in 1.5 years.

Joseph591

Order Zoantharia. Family Zoanthidae. This includes: zoanthids, palythoas, protopalythoas. The order also includes parazoanthids, although they belong to a different family - Parazoanthidae. It is possible that these are protopalythoas of an unknown species to us. The supplier, by the way, should have ensured that they knew exactly what this is, rather than confusing it with a "toilet."

Laura3615

The brown pachyclavularia looks atypical; for example, there is also this thing on the reflex: I also encountered something like this in one aquarium (live rocks), which differed quite a bit from the clavularia. What is called blue antelia or cornularia on the reflex is represented as sarcotelia: Gorgonaria is definitely not swiftia; I couldn't precisely identify it, but it is a photosynthetic organism from plexaura or pseudopterogorgia. I received such small toilets from Kyiv as zoanthids, but this is more likely a variety of protopalythoa, which I also couldn't identify.

Sarah

I wrote that the names might be inaccurate. So why say that it's "definitely not Swiftia"? I couldn't find anything more similar. If you find it, correct me. This is clearly not what I have. There are little tentacles (even if they are small), while my tentacles, like those of anemones, are completely smooth.

Eric8832

Briarium with reflexes No. They all have the wrong morphology. And not just the colors

Mike

More than Therefore, it is necessary to specify:

Joseph8842

Briarium, so I missed it. Is Swiftia more similar then? As you wish, of course, but well, well) Why not that morphology? What exactly distinguishes them? I agree that it's not just about color; I can say that all the bushes from the same gorgonian exhibit some degree of different morphology. The bush forms differently depending on the initial fragment and its placement in the aquarium, etc.

Lauren

It needs to be photographed from a convenient angle or drawn (which I can't do). What distinguishes it: 1. My branches alternate. 2. There are no branches from the side shoots. 3. The "fuzz" or polyps on the trunk and branches are rare. 4. All branches lie in the same plane as the trunk. 5. I just saw her mother. Damn, I'm not an expert in marine life; I'm just learning.

Curtis9143

1. correct 2. there will be appendages, this is just a fragment for now 3. I wouldn't say that, the same swiftia looks bald compared to it 4. not necessarily, this is just a fragment 5. correct In general, one thing is clear, I haven't decided on the appearance of this gorgonia yet. And here's another similar appearance, but I would say it's not the one:

Melinda

Bohnenka, I will respond with your own words "some species can have different color morphs" and further with my own "and not only color-related."

Scott9892

Just the current state The first inhabitants. Palaemon adspersus Aidablennius sphynx

Brian

For someone taking their first steps, it's not bad at all... There's plenty of room to explore. So let's go...

Natasha

Another algae for identification: At the tips, this is not a play of light; they are actually white.

Tracy

Very similar to Caulerpa serrulata.

Travis572

It is claimed that this type of caulerpa dies in aquariums with elevated phosphate levels - a kind of test.

Sydney

It seems similar, yet not quite. Let's hear other opinions. At first, it really was struggling; I thought I wouldn't make it. But now it's actively growing. Here's another photo, close-up:

Shawn

And this one was not recognized by anyone.

Michelle13

there was a little discussion here:

Susan

Will these algae remain in the aquarium then?

Veronica

I already looked, there is nothing like that there.

Anne4851

I don't know. My wife likes it. We'll see, in general.

Phyllis

I think the cost of the sea is high for seaweed; for these purposes, freshwater will do, in my opinion. Corals are needed.

Robert5335

Corals exist and will continue to exist. But I think one does not interfere with the other, at least for now it does not interfere.

Troy8808

It's better to localize them right away, otherwise they didn't bother me at first, but now I have to weed every 3 days...

Tricia7885

Seryoga, a similar bush has grown in the samp, I can't identify it yet, but if it doesn't interfere, let it grow... Did you buy from A Zh.K. (live stones)? We seemed to have started around the same time, plus or minus a week?

Joseph6461

I bought good live rocks. I also got dry reef rocks from him. It's also good rock, and Carolina has already started with it. I bought the following: 20 kg of dry reef rocks, 5 kg of live rocks, 5 kg of crushed live rocks for the sump, and 18.6 kg of live rocks from Max.

Stephen5857

But does A have S.R.K. (dry reef stones)? I think it has never had them.

Rodney

Off-topic It's bad that I still haven't understood it myself.

Michele9664

There is still time. I only feel sorry for Hypnea - it has grown so beautifully. The rest can be transplanted into the sump.

Troy8808

It's better to transplant right away, otherwise you'll suffer later when it crawls over the stones—I'm struggling with it right now... And it's hard to mow, as the sprouts will creep into the cracks—and that's it... you'll only be able to mow once or twice a week...

Frank7213

Under APA rights The hipatus and chrysaptera are still alive. They did not appear in the photo.

Angela6489

I also had one start growing from a stone. About six months after I put the stone in water. Fearing it was Bryopsis, I scraped it off the stone and let it live in another container. But I see that the old stone is sprouting bristles again. It might be Caulerpa. I suspect it doesn't belong in the aquarium. I've also read that it will start to smother corals.

Amanda5586

I think the surgeon will take her in with a zebra.

Michele

A few corals I don't know the names.

Mitchell3177

Don't you know all the names????

Javier5186

I am interested in the first and third photos. The first is most likely Caulastrea furcata. The third is either Ricordea yuma or some kind of Rhodactis.

Spencer7805

Eternal question... What is this? Sorry for the quality. It's sitting far away. It grew by itself.

Tammy2040

How about the condensate from the sump in the pit?

Stacey4437

I made the doors, now I'm thinking about what to do with the condensate.

Crystal4879

And yet, is there still condensate present?

Jason

Wallonia - Soon there will be a question - how to get rid of it. I brought it on a small stone. I scraped it off with a spatula OUTSIDE the aquarium. Do not press it in the aquarium!

David2398

Unfortunately, this is a sign that your system is no longer coping with the fish load... Be careful... In a normally maturing system, volonia does not appear. Well, maybe one or two balls in different places... But you already have a whole patch... I repeat, in a newly launched aquarium, after two to five months of age, stability only seems to exist!!! ...One can disregard their own restarted systems, transitioning to a larger volume, etc.... There may be exceptions here.

Jeffrey496

After all, the "sailor's eye" I know how to fight. It appeared BEFORE the fish was added. The main fish was added on December 31, 2011.

Joseph591

Where else can he go? I'm currently thinking about the methods. The cooler in the cabinet doesn't work for me (or almost doesn't work).

Beth3383

Can you make lids for the compartments of the sump?

Cheyenne2747

There is such a thought.

Steven

Seryoga, it's okay - there will be less of it - when I grabbed the doors, I was shocked by the condensation - over time, a constant temperature will be established in the cabinet, and there will be very little condensation - but I installed the Titan cooler for exhaust.

Denise

It's clear that he studied at school.

Elijah7048

1) Caulastrea. Do her other polyps not open? 2) Discosoma (discoactinia) 3) Ricordea (although some brown color) 4) Discosoma and Palythoa 5) Euphyllia 6) Rodactis 7) Gorgonia

Randy

Ricordea yuma No, there are only three alive. Caulastrea furcata

Craig7302

This is, if I'm not mistaken, Caulastrea curvata, while Caulastrea furcata is purple with a green center.

Cheryl9296

I have a color closer to the first one.

Earl

I prefer to get information not from online stores, but from more reliable and well-known sources.

Kristen1161

Well, then scroll down a bit on your first link, and you'll see that both types are labeled with the same name, so your source isn't that reliable! Google it!

Jennifer

What are we arguing about? Whether it's possible to identify the species of a coral based solely on its coloration from a mediocre photo? I don't think species differences are determined that way. I did some research. There are blue furcates and there are ones with the exact bright light green fluorescent color like mine. And Caulastrea curvata also has ones that look exactly like mine. So... color is not the main characteristic.

Keith7534

Euphyllia paradivisa (seems to be so).

Daniel4967

Favites sp. (presumably Favites chinensis)

Joshua8425

It seems that your euphorbia is not in very good condition... Try moving it somewhere else. I also struggled for a month until I changed its location - and immediately its appearance transformed.

Marie5348

Which one specifically? If it's the one in the foreground, then it's a photo taken the day after the landing. If it's the one in the background, I didn't notice.

Tina

It's not a fact that it's a bad place... I have 3 euphorbias that were almost dead for almost a month when they were dividing... Then I noticed that they were dividing and calmed down - now 2 out of 3 are fluffy...

Steven

Mysterious snail: There is no shell, and along the entire body, there is a crack, giving the impression that the body has been twisted from a plane into a tube.

Rodney3101

There's nothing to be happy about... it needs to be removed... otherwise, it will start to eat the corals... This is a nudibranch, a fierce enemy of corals.

Anna9752

Yes, I wasn't happy. How can one be happy or upset if they don't know what it is? I wonder where it could have come from? J.K. (living stones)?

Judy

What is that orange thing with bubbles - ectameya? p.s. Euphyllia is like grape, where do you get the "vine" if it's not a secret?

Michelle104

Entacmeia quadricolor.

Joshua3019

I redesigned the lighting: I made a lamp in the sample: Total power of 3x36 watts. You can turn on 1, 2, or all three lamps.

John3432

Foreground - A. Mishchenko, background - A.

Shawn

I don't quite understand what kind of lamps you have and how many are above the reef. Do you clean the back wall or have you left it to grow over?

Brent5588

Well, I wanted to write that, but it turned out.... interesting color, are the clowns sniffing around?

Yolanda

T5 ATI lamps 6x80 watts. Are you concerned that there seems to be not enough light? That's correct. The lamps are divided into three groups and are turned on/off sequentially - 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 for turning on, and 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 for turning off. The photo was taken after 19:00, with 4 out of 6 lamps on. I periodically clean the back wall with a brush. This photo was taken just BEFORE cleaning. So, can I leave it to grow?

Dennis

She hasn't arrived yet - I'm waiting.

Cheryl9296

In one aquarium, only the front glass was cleaned for a year and a half, and it was still pretty cool. The background was ugly, very dark, and not arched, plus almost all the space was filled with stones. Now I clean everything with a scraper wherever I can reach.

Samuel6138

I clean once a week, on weekends. I didn't manage to do it this time - I was working on the lamp. .............. I was already thinking that it might be a good idea to create a thin but voluminous background "under the reef." Pros: - additional space for corals; - overgrowth is less noticeable. Cons: - in a young aquarium, if it gets overgrown, you'll be exhausted from scrubbing.

Melissa3820

Elizia. Herbivorous. Harmless. Disappeared within 1-2 months from the moment of discovery.

Sara

Elysia chlorotica It seems like it. I need to catch it in an expanded form.

Sharon

Seryoga, don't be stingy, send new photos. I feel like you definitely have new acquisitions. Come on, spill the beans and send the photos.

Stephen5841

Yeah, exactly, it's time to post the photo report. Just not about the devices, everything is in order with that here... we would like to see the reef and its inhabitants... what if we see something that makes our jaws drop...

Brandi

I will do it on Sunday. The truth is, I need a photographer. If only the Entakmaea quadricolor Super Red would come out from behind the reef...

Robert800

Sinularia Green Entakmaea quadricolor Super Red

Joyce

Off-topic. I’ll have to chant with a tambourine until Monday... Maybe she’ll realize she’s wrong and come out...

Jason9385

I will rebuild the current. I will increase the reef behind, decrease it in front, and perhaps I will drive it out.

Denise

hardly

Stacey4437

Well, it's not like we can scratch her out of there with our hands.

Marie5348

patience, sir - patience

Zachary

Is she sitting deep inside the stone or has she crawled out from the wrong side?

Johnny

Came out from the back side of the reef.

Jacob7201

Is it possible to lift/turn the live rock (with the attached anemone)? The idea of the question is whether it can expose the foot or not?

Sherri1320

Off-topic. Seryoga, don't dodge. You have two options. The first, since you have a lot of experience in aquaristics, is to squeeze between the wall and the aquarium, quickly film it before it gets scared of your unshaven face and crawls away again. The second. Call all visible and not-so-visible household members, as well as neighbors or trusted individuals, and quickly move the aquarium away from the wall to capture all the beauty of this Entacmaea quadricolor Super Red. But seriously, leave it alone; it will find its place, and if you like it, feed it, and it will stay there if it likes it.

Jeffrey

Basically, yes. ................... Yes, that's actually what I'm doing. I was going to change the flow anyway; I want to install adjustable pumps so that I can easily create the REQUIRED flow.

Joshua448

Tolya, you didn't understand. I want to replace the flow pumps with adjustable ones. The wave maker stays in place.

Vanessa6144

well, adjust it... if you really want to...

Michael

Well, you know my love for such gadgets. By the way, a question: is there any point in changing the strength of the current day/night?

Chad231

It's better not to change it at all, neither day nor night...

Angela7060

I tend to agree. Variable flow is sufficient from the wave maker.

Keith7534

As promised, here are some new photos. The photographer is Igor.

Eric8832

What kind of light green Carolina is that on the rocks (just like turquoise)? Or is it my monitor that distorts it?

Jeffrey6189

Which photo? Most likely, it's a distortion. I don't have green Carolina (and probably no one else does). I have red and purple.

Jeremy

In almost all the photos, around Ksyusha, the whole stone is turquoise. This probably happened during processing, but it looks interesting overall.

Diana3118

Ah... I see. It's not in focus of the camera. It's just an ordinary stone with a slight greenish tint. Around the ksyukha, yes, it has something growing on it that looks like Carolina in yellow-green color. But that's not mine. It arrived like that.

Jasmine

Well, thank God, another decent sailor has been raised... By the way, the enigma fits well, no need to mess with it, everything is fine.

Stuart

I will add a little with Sergei's permission.

Elizabeth1221

It’s clear today is a photo day. A saucer has appeared. I must say we rarely see it - a nocturnal creature. When we first noticed it, it was about 1 cm, now it’s about 7-8 cm. Next to it is an euphyllia, so you can gauge the size.

Martha

Say it already..

Angel2396

That's how it was intended. Now it's possible. The reef has settled a bit. Let it warm up. I want to catch some "fresh" fish, about 10 kg.

Adam

Honestly, I haven't picked anything yet! I'm planning to do it in early March.

Michele

Well, a couple more...

Adam4310

Well, for the sake of completeness...

James3382

Look to the bottom left, the racemose is sitting there, don't let her, it's still not too late to pick up the growth pace, otherwise even the surgeons won't help...

Eric8832

There is nothing there anymore. Olga splashed around for half a day - she pulled everything out. I didn't want to stir things up before taking pictures yesterday.

Elizabeth1221

You acted very wisely; otherwise, it would have been a disaster... In general, after skinning her, it's advisable to put her in a marine chamber, and then just throw the frozen pieces into the aquarium, where the surgeons will later highly evaluate her taste qualities.

Christopher1774

I like Seryoga, everything is gradually growing, new corals and fish are appearing, the main thing is not to rush. Slow and steady wins the race! I liked the video. The batrioclavidia has grown a lot, it's a paradise for surgeons.

Danielle9144

During this time, they have multiplied: 1. Ksenia. 2. Discoactinia (3 species). 3. Riccardia yuma.

Justin9867

1. The reef is coping well with the current occupancy. 2,3. I have nothing to compare it to. Subjectively - it's quiet, with small bubbles.

Omar3497

I saw a reasonably sized Parrotfish swimming among the LPS corals in this marine aquarium. I personally witnessed this fish crunching off pieces of coral with its beak... So indeed, you can't just put anything you want in a marine aquarium, even if the size allows it.

Steven757

This is amazing... How could one combine scorpionfish with LPS and SPS corals! It means everything was planned and anticipated in advance; I can't believe people didn't know...

Kevin8087

" sleeps during the day and works at night" - I fell under the table when I watched the video.))) Especially with the bonenfacker. Bonenkäfer is a bean bug in German (bred as food for dendrobatids), and fakker is something quite different in English, but it sounds cool too)). But seriously, thank you for the advertisement. Everything has really grown and improved, excellent aquarium.

Melissa2062

Oh man... I thought Igor was filming without sound. But at least you found out what people say about you behind your back. And I always mix up your nickname - it doesn't associate with anything.

Patrick4439

There is clearly some hidden intent here; I don't know where the mute button is, but why didn't you remove the sound when you were editing? In any case, we'll find the dragon at Gpadkovka.

Kimberly

Nope. I have the sound on my computer turned off, so I didn't hear anything.

John3165

Bakhchisarayskaya, 1. You can only catch him after 7 PM; he is not there earlier.

Devon107

Were you interested in LED lights? Here's some interesting info: Don't pay attention to the English; the company seems to be from Russia. Easy2LED.com Novopeshanaya st., 16-21 Moscow 125252 Russian Federation So, you don't have to deal with soldering or gluing stars. Just attach the strip to the radiator and that's it. And the diodes are suitable in terms of temperature, just not very powerful. P.S. And here's a little lamp made with them -

James5032

Thanks, I've seen this topic. The LED lamp is interesting, but I won't start working on it until winter; I might as well let the bulbs serve their time, I can't just throw them away. By then, something even more interesting might come up, and I'll make a controller.

Sydney

How about this?

Justin9867

What, are there already so many of them that it's time to rake them in?

David

No. But it's not interesting when the whole aquarium is overgrown with discs and ricordeas. And they are actively reproducing for me. Off-topic, Igor, will you take some for yourself? Sarcophytes are "alive." Zoanthids are multiplying, but weaker. Euphyllias are blooming, but not dividing. Sinularias are growing, but also not dividing. Acropora is like lawn grass. ............ I think I've mentioned everyone. Entacmaea are hiding behind the reef, but the red one seems to have grown quite a bit.

Jacqueline6670

Seryoga!!!! The red fragonet is coming - I'm the first to buy it! Don't forget, genatsvale! You can fragon the sinularity. If anything, I'll take it) By the way, I think I took all your Ksyusha and left you nothing. Just realized... I confess. I can bring a little bush.

Charles

Yes, I remember, I remember. It seems like that to you. I have whole thickets of it. Well, come over on Saturday evening - we'll give it a try. I don't know how to do it.

Scott8536

Offtopic. Seryozha, such a plant as yours costs money. In one of the shops near the police station (you know where), a plant half the size of yours costs as much as Helmon. So let it grow, it's beautiful and makes its owner happy. If the relatives spread out, I can bring you one for "Draft". By the way, I threw away the little one from Lyoshka. Right on the side, on the sink. If it gets fat, I'll give it to good hands. P.S. I cleared the thickets of your grass and found a little tubastrea on a grain of sand. I can give it to you. You have a red one, and I have a yellow one. Feed it, cherish it, it takes food from your hands. It has become tame.

Jill9137

What is a ricardea? I have yellow ones. I haven't noticed them breeding. Well, if they're on my grass, there will be more. Off-topic On Sunday, I threw out a bucket of heteromorphs with caulerpa.

Tasha

Offtopic, baby, the tubes from "my" mom T. mine is yellow, and yours is red. Send me your kids - I'll gladly take them) Your heteromorpha and caulerpa are growing at a rocket speed. I filmed Lyosha Sh's Ricordea at six in the morning, so the shot isn't great -

John3432

It seems like it's Yuma. Off-topic Well, if it's from your mom, then I'll gladly take it.

Natasha7622

It should be like that in an amateur's aquarium: something is thriving uncontrollably, something is flourishing moderately, while something is stagnant, not growing or multiplying. There can be many reasons for this, and it's not easy to determine them right away, but in most cases, it's antagonism, individual intolerance of cohabitation. In the reef, in nature, everything is different regarding this...

Joe

I still think I'm missing something with the sarcophaguses. Alexey Porsh has huge sarcophaguses, while mine have hardly grown from the frags in almost the same time. Maybe it's the place (current - lighting), or the water parameters. However, all my fish only started to grow after I got rid of the lower ones with vodka. Maybe the sarcophaguses will perk up too.

Jeremy8404

We will wait. I actually don't touch them; you could write me the desired parameters for the flow/lighting, as you understand them better.

Aaron580

Lighting is loved the brighter, the better; this way, they fully open up and grow faster, with average flow.

Wendy

Balance is the key here.

Christopher

Seryoga, it's better to dose with seven-water together. In general, the fauna has an excellent set for raising magnesium. I recommend it.

Kayla7655

The pH will not rise. And your Kp is excellent at 8.

Brianna

Well, yes. The same magnesium chloride at outrageous prices. And what difference does it make? I don't really care what to count. Well, judging by the balance chart, I actually don't have any.

Mark7376

I also have it - I'm adding soda KН=7 to raise it since 452=CA. Magnesium is off the charts, I barely brought it down to 1485.

Barbara

Quadricolor super Red She is still stressed after the relocation. I used the Takashi method to get her out of the reef. I took a large black bag, stuffed a bunch of crumpled bags into it, and placed it between the glass and the back of the reef where she was sitting. Within a day, she came out, and when she crawls, it's not a problem to catch her - I tickled her leg with a brush, and she detached from the rock. Let's hope she adapts to her new place.

Sherri1320

If you are thinking of raising the kH as well, I understand that by "balling" you mean the solution of MgCl2+6H2O? How much calcium was there before the solution was added? What are the proportions of this solution and its dosage in the aquarium? How quickly did the magnesium rise? Why do you want to increase the kH?

Earl

1. Yes. 2. Calcium is normal. 3. Proportions from here: 4. In a week. 5. I don't think about it anymore. The guys explained that it's basically normal.

Lindsay

Thank you for the calculator. It's certainly a bit difficult to call it balling, but that's not the point... and I think you're aware of that. Randy in his article about balling recommends adding magnesium and sulfate and chloride (MgCl2+6H2O, MgSO4+7H2O), but that's for maintaining the ion balance in a full balling method. So for you, it doesn't matter whether it's just chloride or sulfate + chloride.

Luis3725

Nikolai (Sleepy) thinks that sulfate is excessive. I somewhat share his opinion.

Thomas1044

It seems that the FAQ on balancing has been deleted. What is the reason for this? Randy says the following: "The use of this system maintains the balance of the main 7 ions: chloride, sodium, sulfate, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and bicarbonate." Here is the article: This is from 2006. Although in 2004 he simply used magnesium sulfate. Here is the article:

Sara

Yes. People are already puzzled there.

Sinularia sp. Green

Emma

A meltdown. Van Gogh's painting "Sunflowers" is resting.

Heather2018

What can I say, dear, some people grow corals that are more complicated than you might be used to. I apologize if I offended you.

Janet5447

No one pushed anyone! The FAQ on baling was written by Nikolai; this article is his private property! He organized his own website... the article moved there, everything is fine!

Erica752

Please provide a link to the Slippy website, as calling is expensive.

Darrell5975

Off-topic Just more interesting to watch when the softness is in an open state, rather than after transportation or in a stressed condition. And some - is it you and your complex corals?

Joseph2576

Well, that's why I posted this photo. It came as a small fragment three months ago. And this is its normal state. Off-topic Sorry, I don't buy adult corals, I prefer to grow them myself. ............. Others will speak about me.

Jessica6754

Yes, it's him!

Angela7060

It's great that she has grown, but she should still look a bit different... there are visible spots from which the flowers should emerge... I haven't encountered a permanently bald state of the sinularia...

Barbara8192

Tanya, I have exactly the same synularia, it just hid its polyps during the shooting, which is often observed in this species; it can hide its polyps once or even twice throughout the day, and then release them again. The coral at Sergei's is in perfect condition.

James4757

So I only meant the flowers, which I also wrote about! I just said that she is always like that, and it shouldn't be that way!

Stefanie9771

Perhaps the current is bothering her, or maybe something else... maybe something disturbed her the day before the shoot, unintentionally. You must agree, the coral is quite healthy.

Ronald

Colleagues, the shoot was at 10 PM.

Natalie

Off-topic Before going to sleep, that is...

Anna9752

It's not about the time I took the photo, but rather that it looks rare, meaning it has few shoots and flowers. Here is an evening photo at 7:00 PM of one part of Sinularia sp. Green, considering that at 10:30 AM I divided the mother colony into three parts. This Sinularia looks like a 4 out of 5 in the photo. Therefore, I think it lacked lighting or was in strong current, which stretched it instead of fluffing it up.

Alyssa6727

No, she’s definitely not as bald as in my photo right now, but she’s still far from being fluffy. You’re right, I still have a lot to learn. Off-topic Well, let the kid show off.

Brandi

We are just worried!

Jeanne

perhaps this is a variety

Andrew9581

Based on the above, it's time to have a photo shoot. So, we're waiting. It will somehow complete the picture, right? And overall, it's great for a beginner.

Thomas

Unlike the list you received in private messages, there is no loriculus here - it died after a day. I introduced it on Saturday, and by Sunday morning, the crabs had already taken it. The cause is unknown. The fish was kept for too long; I got it from a reliable person. After being introduced, it was stressed for about 15 minutes, then swam calmly with everyone, and in the morning... I lost the first fish in all this time, it's a shame.

Chelsea567

How does Siganus virgatus behave with you? Have you observed it? It ate Ksenia and the polyps on the sinularia for me.

Daniel8015

So far, I haven't noticed that about him. He tramples the algae with great force, and now the sphinx and the zebra have joined him; before, they used to ignore this matter.

Tami

It's a pity. Perhaps the most demanding of all centropyges. But they could have also moved him like a newcomer. It happens. My pseudochromis paccagnella killed a pajama wrasse and a centropyge bispinosa. If I had had information about this pseudochromis at that time, it would have had a place in the fish tank. But now, good luck trying to remove it from the reef—no chance. That's why I don't add any small fish to the reef tank.

Ryan

The smallest hook No. 22 (without weight) or the smallest jig and line 0.12-0.15 with squid or shrimp meat as bait. It is advisable not to feed the fish for a day.

Christopher8654

I tried, but it doesn't work. It seems to be interested in the bait, but at the very last moment it leaves and doesn't swim into the trap. Still, I will continue trying to catch it with the hook; it doesn't belong there.

Jeremy

It would be interesting to see the photo.

Jessica6754

I'm not good at this. I need to ask Igor again. By the way, here are mom and dad: Photo taken from ***a***, sorry.

Nancy758

I don't want to seem like the smartest, but it seems that the loriculus is the second most popular centropyge and out of all 30 species, it's not the most demanding. But that's not the point. It's better to use a size 22 hook on 0.08 fluorocarbon line. The results will be much better...

Angela

I somehow thought it should be green, similar to.

Eric5208

Heteractis crispa:

Kimberly

Class!!!

Gregory

Does anyone live in it?

Cynthia

In Krispe, everyone lives. It's a practically universal host. (By the way, I have the same view on my avatar).

Katie4842

I asked about the specimen in the photo (the one in the avatar is "unreal") Does anyone live in this crypt?

Jesse3979

No. Clowns sometimes rub against each other, but... Thank God, because they messed up my quadricolor, I hid it from them.

Mike

Is there really a place where clowns don't touch the quadricolor??)))

Ross

It was found, hidden in the stones. If it's in sight, it doesn't have time to settle, as Motya (the female clownfish) starts to push it.

Cheryl9296

Hello. Could you explain to a novice sailor the design of your sump? Specifically, what is the purpose of the compartment under the foam and near the return pump?

John3165

Under the penning is a reservoir for automatic refilling. Before the pump is a compartment for pre-filtration.

Susan9583

Are these sponges or coal, or...?

Joyce

Sure, for the collectors. You can also use a sponge if the middle compartment is used as an algae scrubber to prevent the cheatomorpha from reaching the pump.

Randy

Shells and a sponge at the end.

Andrea9320

Could you please post a photo of the sample in action? The working principle is not entirely clear. After all, the compartment with the pump is higher than the compartment with the shells and the sponge.

Andrea8397

The partition between them does not reach the bottom, lacking 2 cm.

Stephen5857

Now it's clear, thank you.

Nicole7122

I installed a pen filter from . Of course, there is no comparison with BOYU.

Meghan

It seems you used to have a JEBO 520?

Jennifer9100

No. Initially, there was a Boyu DT-1524.

Brian7092

What was wrong with the previous one? An expensive upgrade?

David953

My volume isn't pulling. The liveliness has increased a bit. Not much, but I think it's better to discuss this.

Nicole7122

How did you come to that conclusion? For example, a 1400L aquarium. Here is a photo of this aquarium that has been running without a skimmer for three years and everything is thriving. 8 amphiprions of 2 grams, 2 tulip anemones, 1 pagon, 1 helman, and 1 dogfish.

Yvette209

Well, don't compare. This is with YOU. It needs to be taken care of well, and you know my amount of free time. The fight was not originally meant for my volume, and... it died.

Charles5941

Congratulations! I have copy No. 1. You probably have the second one. There are already differences compared to mine. Engineering thought is at work, it doesn't stand still. When I launch mine, I can't even imagine - I can't seem to gather everything together. How is it working for you? Is it noisy? Is the pump the same?

Guy

The jar is excellent, but the difference, as I see it, is in the corals and the amount of algae... I noticed it with my little farm...

Jeffrey496

As per the agreement of the topic, I replaced the light. It was: T5 6x80. It became T5 4x80 + MH 3x150 (20000 + 14000 + 20000). We will see what happens. For now, the MH is turned on for three hours, increasing by one hour each day. The plan is: T5 - 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, T5 + MH 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The MH is connected through an electronic ballast and controlled via a controller.

Robert

Light is good! Tell me how the new pen is working!

Hunter1471

Well, I already wrote it. It works great, the foam is dry, there's no noise, and it's easy to wash.

Melissa2062

How deep is it submerged in the water?

Zoe7451

About 20 cm. It needs to be measured more accurately.

Ronald5720

What kind of head is on the skimmer, and was anything modified in it?

Angel628

Darling, we didn't change anything, this is a factory skimmer. The skimmer is currently lying as a spare.

Darrell5975

Well, write down the specifications, pump l/h and what kind, etc.

Rodney

Skimmer KS 150-6530 Size (diameter/height MM): 150/510 Pump: HX-6530 (1750 l/h) Standard power / Actual power: 50W/23W Maximum aquarium size (L): 700 Drain: 40mm Bottom dimensions (MM): 330/250

Shelby3182

As a "dad" of the theme

Joseph9203

Overall appearance (hasn't been cleaned for a long time due to the owner's illness)

Judy

What about the owner? Why does it feel so deserted?

Tasha

I recently added 40 kg of new stones - they haven't grown over yet.

Judy

Is 1750 l/h about water or air?

Tonya

In your opinion, is it coping with the load that is already present in the aquarium?

Lindsey3362

About water. It's hard for me to judge, as I don't have much to compare it to. Maybe I should get a more powerful one. But how do you determine if it's working or not? Nitrates / phosphates are at zero.

Cassandra1840

1750 l/h 50 W are not the best characteristics even for pumps of this design... for the new generation of pumps, they look like 4500 l/h - 50 W. If your goal is to have a water container without nitrate and phosphate, then everything is probably fine. If it's a beautiful aquarium, then there are likely some considerations to think about...

Jessica

Yes, the performance turns out to be strange...

Jeffrey

Well, there's no need to be ironic. HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE PERFORMANCE OF A SKIMMER IS SUFFICIENT FOR A SPECIFIC SYSTEM? WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED? ................. As for performance, the foam collector lifts the lid with a weight of 0.5 kg. The skimmer is black-green in color. There is a lot of foam. I don't know how else to assess the performance of the foam collector. "By eye" - I don't have enough experience.

Christine

As far as I know, it indicates that the pen is functioning at the limit of its capabilities...

Mike

When choosing a skimmer, it's important to consider the parameters, and since it is already installed, it makes sense to look at the condition of the aquarium. Judging by the photos, there is cyanobacteria of all colors, planaria, and it seems like there is some filamentous algae in places (I could be mistaken, the photos are not very clear...). Dirty foam primarily indicates that there is a lot of organic matter in the water and the skimmer cannot reduce it. In systems where the skimmer is working effectively, the foam is slightly yellowish or white. Without instruments, you can assess its performance by measuring the volume of foam. For 600 liters, it should be at least two liters (by my standards).

Scott8536

I wonder what the time frame is??? It's curious... I don't seem to have any thread or cyan at the moment... the foam is almost white. And the skimmed oil... Well, or a good tea... But it can take him about 4-7 days to fill a cup... Although the cup is probably around 2 liters for me.

Omar3497

Find the boundary between water and foam in the skimmer body and measure the volume from that point to the top of the neck. The color and volume of the skimmate depend on the settings. I usually set it to -tea.

Leonard

Hmm... well, this is already a practical tip. So, there should be 2 liters from the "boiling" point of the water to the cup? Then why do they make conical frothers? After all, this will reduce that volume significantly.

Gene1948

2 liters of foam are usually formed when sucking in 1000-1200 liters/hour of air. The formula for calculating the volume depends only on the shape of the neck.

James5032

This is clear. At the same height, the volume of a cylinder is greater than that of a cone with the same base. So the question is, why make cone-shaped skimmers if the cylinder has a larger volume? Or should it be understood that the volume of foam should be 2 liters? I'm afraid I can't lower the boiling point of water that much. I have now lowered it to the minimum.

Michelle1662

So that there would be more swearing when you wash it, because your hand doesn't fit in there (in the neck).

Phyllis

No, I can fit.

Rodney

You misunderstood something. Do the following: set the skimmer to "tea," let it work in that mode for a while, then find the mark where the foam starts and measure the volume. You need to know the volume of the foam not for adjustment but to assess the skimmer's performance. By knowing it, you can orient yourself, compare it with other skimmers, and find out where the source of the problems lies, whether in the skimmer or something else. After all, it might just be broken or clogged.

Lindsay

Why does the end consumer need to know the foam volume? The volume will be similar to that of the A&C150 on the Aquamedic pH2000, as Halera is an equivalent to Aquamedic.

Joshua

Sanya, I have a skimmer draining into a container, otherwise the foam lifts the lid with a weight of 0.5 kg and spills out. And the skimmer (the one that's draining) is currently the color of tea (dark).

James3382

If everything is fine with the aquarium, it doesn't need to know what a skimmer is, where it is located, and what it is for. A&C150 on Aquamedic pH 2500 The performance depends not only on the pump.

Michelle13

Scutus claw has grown.

Anna9752

Are you raising monsters?

Theresa5149

I think it's a wonderful creature! I have one living in my micro-reef too. There was an opinion that it might eat corals and similar things. But it has not been observed doing anything like that. It's a pity it's a bit skittish))))))))

Kristin

As an APA topic, otherwise someone might think that everything is dead.

Sharon

I'm looking at all the cyan on the sand, but I can't seem to overcome it.

Daniel9952

Cyanobacteria appear right after the water change and then disappear in about a month. I don't know the reasons, the tests are normal. Red Sea salt.

Judy

It's some strange stuff... do you change a lot of water based on the volume?

Loretta5483

I am exchanging 10% (60 liters).

Tricia7885

How is the cause-silicates from osmosis?

Tina

The TDS meter shows 000, and the tests are also at zero.

Elizabeth6302

Tests showing zero are also incorrect; the nitrate level should be around 4-6.

Caleb6320

Newbies

Monica

The crab-eating algae eater at work.

Susan9583

Is it possible to artificially introduce nitrate? For example, potassium nitrate or calcium nitrate?

Gary6376

What kind of anemone is it? Macrodactyla doreensis?

Diana7891

People artificially introduce nitrates, but I haven't looked into how. In my opinion, this is not a significant increase in aquarium feeding.

Kathleen

What do you mean? Actinia like actinia.

Darlene4238

It is better to add some liveliness and install a more powerful foamer for removing insoluble compounds.

Stephanie3084

There are situations when the aquarium is filled with corals and there is good growth, but the nitrate is lacking at 0, then the feeding of fish and animals is increased, or artificial nitrate is added.

Stephanie4990

I have plenty of fish in the reef.

Kayla7655

Tim has some now. I will take 2 pieces - join in.
