Acanthasters, like other corals, release tentacles in the presence of amino acids such as proline in the water.

I am adding Polyp-Booster feed, which contains 18 amino acids and 12 types of fatty acids. And the acanths do not release their tentacles... Caulastrea, Trachyphyllia. Could the reason be too long a light day or too aggressive light?
Justin
Acanthostrea-Night, in this regard, photoperiod has an influence. Are there no tentacles at night either? And if you put a piece of meat directly on them, will they eat it? If not, then just feed them... a piece of food every day for 15 minutes, until they start to react actively, usually a week is enough.

Okay, I'll try, thank you!
