They will eat the iphtasia and die. At most, they will try to nibble on corallimorphs or small anemones like actinia near hermit crabs, but then they will die anyway. Yes, and one piece may not be enough. It's good to have 3 or more.

What do you recommend against iptazias?

Bergia are very good at eating aiptasia. Perhaps one of the best solutions! Unlike shrimp, which eat based on their mood. To keep the bergia alive, you can simply feed them aiptasia by taking it along with the rocks and giving them clean rocks in return. That's how I feed the shrimp.

What should the population of amphipods be for a pair of bergia in a 1000L aquarium? At least an approximate number?

Earl

Um... on a ton - a couple of bergies will just get lost... although... if there are iphtasias on all the stones (or at least a couple of dozen or so in the aquarium), then I think they will live long and happily. Plant them closer to a larger cluster, and as they feed, they will start to wander. While they wander, who knows, something might grow in the old spot.
