It all depends on the LEDs themselves, on the type, quantity, and ratio.
Erica752
Well, anyone can add what LEDs are installed when describing hydrobionts that feel normal/abnormal.
Dana4701
And what will this give? As a result, we will arrive at an average ratio, which is already well known.
Matthew7977
was afraid that the topic would be killed in this way. Thank you.
Daniel9952
Do you have an LED light in the sea?
Thomas1044
No. For now, I'm gathering information, and I will probably try to do it in the fall. By that time, maybe the diodes will become cheaper. So this topic is personally interesting to me. Off-topic. I got the hint.
Jennifer
Seryoga, keep me updated when you start building, I'm very interested in where, at what price, what kind and how many LEDs you will be using.
Jesse
I'm interested because I have such a lamp in my 600 liters, but after a month and a half, I can't say much.
However, I will say:
The umbrellas and briarium glow just amazingly. The sarcophytons opened up immediately upon arrival. Ksenia is pulsing and fluffing up just wonderfully. The tapetums - one opened right away, the second is slowly opening, and they glow so brightly! But the red disco mushroom has been doing poorly for a month now...
Thomas5021
+1. Caulastrea and Montipora are also interesting underneath them. As for the red mushrooms, +100. I still can't "pump" them up.
Danielle
I have red mushrooms growing on the LEDs from live rocks somewhere after about 7 months... and now they are not inferior in growth to the green plants... but the caulerpa is not growing at all... the anemones still feel better under the actinic lamp—mine just burned out... it's been 2 weeks without it... the mat has dulled—the LED did not replace the actinic fluorescent lamp... I will put the lamp back.
Laura9093
How many pieces and what type of LEDs were installed? For what volume?
Julie4738
42 liters of water... 75 cm of tape... and 2 standard LED lamps from 220v - blue... when the actinic bulb burned out, I added 2 spot LEDs from 12 volts... at first glance, there seemed to be more blue, and the umbrellas started to glow more intensely... but apparently, the LED doesn't penetrate the water as well as the actinic bulb.
Stacey4437
so it's not light at all, rather a fill light.
James4342
maybe... but I can't push it into the lid anymore... the actinic lamp has already arrived... I installed it... seems fine...
Julia
What is the standard then? How many blue diodes are required? How many white diodes (6000 Kelvin)? Let's say I have 1.25 meters of white in this aquarium and another 35 cm of dark blue... that's in addition to the 75 cm of blue from 2 blue lamps at 220... and 2 at 12V... where can I find the norm per liter?
Helen
It's not about the meters, but about the power. In 130 liters, I soldered 2.5 meters - that's for supplemental lighting, those strips are weak. In 600 liters - 33 or 35 stars (I don't remember exactly), each with 3 diodes of 3 watts. The ratio is 1 white/1 blue/1 royal blue - these shine brightly, you can't compare them to the strips.
Randy
It means that only powerful diodes need to be installed; otherwise, regular diodes simply won't fit in the cover in the quantity required for normal lighting.
Nicole7122
well, yes.
Joseph9057
I have 25 stars on the screen and 5 in the tank! The animals feel great - although only 2 months have passed. Euphyllia, Sarcophyton, Caulastrea, Brevibacillus, green Zoanthids. They are shining and blooming like never before - I recently added Favia - I can't say anything yet. There are also Enantheas and Ricordea, Parazoanthus, Goniopora, and Hidnophora - no one has gotten worse.
Melissa
Do you only have LED lights? No other type of light?
Lindsey3362
Only ICE, no other.
Maria
Only LED, no other.
I left space for T5 - but it pales in comparison to the crystals, which is why I don't include it.
Cassandra7840
And if you install such a light (or), how do you calculate the volume and how many fixtures are needed, for example, for a 120 cm (120x40x50) long aquarium and the height of the mounting?

Sorry, I correct myself:
Katie4842
The length of such a lamp is 400 mm. With a power of 90 W, two pieces should be enough. The mounting height depends on how much cord is available. However, 300 dollars for a no-name lamp seems a bit much...
Debra6575
I am preparing a light fixture with 18 stars and a controller for a 100-liter aquarium. Based on your experience, is that enough? Dimensions - 100-60-50.
The stars are the same as WBR.
Loretta5483
I can't help, I don't have experience. My aquarium with LEDs is only 2 months old.
Katie5500
I saw these lights in Germany in stores - the blue light is amazing, but I didn't really like the white one... They come without a controller... I was thinking of buying some, they were offered to me for 170 euros, but I declined... As far as I remember, they are 120 watts...
Can you take a couple of photos of the aquarium under the LED and a few close-up shots?
Wesley
As far as I understand, you have 3 types of diodes... When I was choosing lights for LEDs, I contacted Pacific Sun, and they use 5 types of diodes (this is the old generation), while the new generation of fixtures has 8-10 types of diodes... They argue that corals much prefer diverse light, and I was specifically talking about how "red" corals, like Montipora, Discosoma, and some others, start to grow well...
Christine
Well, we have plenty to offer...
