Tatiana, thank you for the link.
But I would like something from personal experience.
Where do you keep this creature, on the bottom or on the rocks? Do you have any photos?
What kind of lighting? What do you feed it?
I think it would be very helpful for many inexperienced aquarists.
Thank you.
Kellie
Well, you guys are something, people are trying to write articles, and you want experience! Experience is fine... but everything is written so beautifully there...
I have one... it's growing great, I specifically don't feed it! There's a stone under it on the sand, otherwise it would blow the sand around the tank... The light is from T5 lamps, up to 70 cm for the tridacna.
I still advise inexperienced aquarists to read the articles and really understand them... Experience is more like an addition! If everyone starts sharing their experiences, which are usually different... it can easily become confusing without understanding the essence...

Well, you won't read that in articles. Thank you once again.

Tanya, there's really nothing to be surprised about... these days, aquarists have become lazy and inert. When they need something immediately, they turn to those with experience and say, "Come on, answer me." But how many topics on the forum don't receive the attention and development they deserve... It turns out we only show interest when it becomes urgent, meaning personal interest combined with the necessity of the moment becomes apparent... Hence, it's all quiet and calm... with our paws up, knowing nothing and having no idea...

There will definitely be a "deputy for morality" who will turn the joy of communication among people into moralizing. What kind of people are these?

Some people are not lazy but very busy; they don't have time to sit and search for topics. And if someone is reluctant to share their experience, that's their personal matter. When I'm asked about something I understand, I'm happy to share with the person.

It's not a fact, there's no need to look for them, they are all nearby, why create more topics, especially about a specific animal, when there are, I repeat, well-known and detailed topics intended for discussing such questions? What is the point of this scattering and repetition? Everything should be organized. Well, there is a topic, what's wrong? It's on the 10th line. Employment has nothing to do with it.

This also indicates that fish constantly swim over this place and fertilize it with their waste. And they fertilize it quite heavily. So, we already have at least two sources of nutrition.

and here read this

That's right, why do you need him? That's why I'm not writing, even though I kept two mollusks for 5 years successfully. I could add something to what my colleagues have written, but I won't do it for the reasons mentioned above. I can at least provide a link from our forum; it took exactly 1.5 minutes to find it. The same could easily happen with a giant clam.
