Where is it located? What current is blowing on it?
"vodka, iodine, balling" "coral snow" -
Try not to pour it. I would temporarily refuse vodka and iodine...
And why are you even pouring it?
Michelle5859
Off-topic: I also switched to "Triple" cologne. I drank half a glass in the morning - and the day was a success!
I'm almost 99% sure that there's too much "snow." Don't pour it.
Keep an eye out - is there any "friendly" worm in this place?

Offtopic Dear, please do not distort the names of corals. This misleads beginners. There is a coral called Tubastrea aure

Thank you all, the solution has been found... Huge thanks for the advice, I will switch to Latin.

Since people with similar problems keep messaging me privately, I will open the topic again. I personally cut off the sick branches, pruned them, and everything is alive again... just in case, I halved the amount of snow... and I pour it once a week... here’s what others have done:

I also encounter a similar problem. The trunk is turning white and balding. If I fragment it, the damaged areas, being exposed to light, start to heal and fluff up. I still haven't figured out the cause.
Travis572
Today, the area was covered overnight by about 2 cm. I don't know why, but I think it's due to the addition of 2 actinides.
Mark
Could the addition of vodka be the reason for the bald spots in the seriatopora? I've just noticed that the process continues on separate fragments. I'm already worried. I've been adding vodka for several months. There were filamentous overgrowths, and as the stones cleared up, I started adding 5 ml to a 1500-liter aquarium. The amount seems minimal for such a volume, but maybe that's the reason.

Neither vodka nor anything else is poured - only substitutions.
Collin
Whether you speak or not, you don't want to understand. Vodka is evil. Don't mess with it, don't get your aquarium used to bad things; it can manage on its own without alcohol. Create natural conditions for it, ones that are familiar, don't rush events and processes in the reef, and it will thrive for many years. There is plenty of evidence for this.
Kimberly
How are you, Lyokha? Are you planning to create natural conditions for him?))) Even the salt is all synthetic.

I continue to pour everything I was pouring, the damaged areas have healed, I bought food for small polyps at Fish Street... it has fluffed up like a Christmas tree... I started pouring vodka literally from the first months with no negative effects... so I believe the reason is completely different...

What is the name of the feed?

I'm waiting! I hope you like it.

You are probably right. I would even say that if all the "marine aquarium enthusiasts" of Ternopil gathered, we would not have enough experience to argue with you. But, unfortunately, circumstances are often stronger than us.
Erin2730
Hi! Does phytoplankton and zooplankton (tropic marines) not fluff up like a Christmas tree? Is this better? Or haven't you tried that? I need to feed my own (both soft and hairy ones).
