Even me, Max. What if someone is just stupidly eating them at night? Observe who goes out hunting at night...
Jeanne
Maybe they just have nothing to eat, since the aquarium was restarted and there are no growths on the glass, and the water change turned out to be significant?
Maria
After I launched a couple of Black Sea shrimp from the stomach, only empty shells remained.
Sharon
Actually, I suddenly started losing my stomatellas too. At first, there were just a ton of them, then a couple, and a bunch of shells... now they are starting to grow again... just wait for a month, they are usually quite resilient and prolific... if anything, later anyone can give you a few...
For example, I currently lost my strombus, and it turned out that my hepatus grabs them by the shell and carries them around the aquarium (he also carries small rocks like that), so they sit in the sand all day and only come out at night...

In just 2 days of hunger strike, it's kind of strange...
Guys, they are actually dying! I'm pulling out corpses!
Katie5500
I'll catch some for you in about a week. Just in case, in case they really died from the restart. Max, the J.K. (live stones) arrive - at best, within 24 hours after extraction. Then comes the launch, maturation, etc. And the stomatolites revive and reproduce.
And also - they are incredibly slow. Essentially motionless if you look at them over a span of 15-30 minutes. Are you sure you were catching dead ones? How did you confirm that?
Brandon9634
Max, don't get upset, I have them popping up at night, believe me, from 0.5 mm to 4-5 cm, you won't find them in Kyiv suddenly, I'll collect and send them (slugs).
Laura9093
Yarik, they smelled terrible and even after that I put them in a jar to confirm their death. This is not about the stomatella, but more about the reason for their demise... Maybe if we understand why, we can avoid this in the future... For now, I think it was due to excessive flow. I had too strong a stream on the first day; maybe they couldn't attach to the live rocks and were just tossed around.
Rodney
It's unlikely, they are on such a current and under the vibe box that if I got there, it would definitely be the end for me, and they are light, and for them, it's like dust for sailors.
Laura4892
What do you need them for? Be glad there aren't any. Their usefulness is questionable. I have thousands of them and I don't know how to get rid of them. There's not enough space for them.
Caroline1599
Cool creatures. They seem like lower firs made of stones...
Steven
I had one big one die about a week and a half ago (there were two - the second one is still crawling), it was lying upside down with a glued fin, no idea what happened.
John
If the aquarium is new, it usually still smells of silicone, the PVC glue has a smell. All this stuff gets into the water and the stomatopods ............
Andrea
Offtopic Damn, I just reread it... Max, I got confused here - I mixed up the stamatelies with the asterisks...
Reginald5073
The aquarium stood still for almost a year before launching. If everything were that bad, the acroporas would have gone bye-bye. Especially since all the other strombus and snails are alive and well... I don't think that's the reason... By the way, all the stomatellas have died - 10 pieces. All the other creatures are alive and healthy...
Zachary
I think the reason is that they have little food, and of course, the aquarium is young.
Tanner
In just a day, most of them have curled up... I'm just surprised at how such resilient little creatures have curled up for no apparent reason... Ideally, the rest should have followed suit...
Erica
Anatoly, please decode your abbreviations. GH - ?

Sorry. Hydrochemistry.
Denise
I think they got electrocuted... The pump that I set up temporarily during the move in a small jar with SPS corals, where the stomatellas were as well, was giving off electric shocks! Quite a lot... Yesterday, while I was mixing water for it, I got a good jolt.
Angela7060
Examples of wire breakage, or even the pump housing itself, in marine aquariums further confirm that in the aggressive environment of seawater, this is to be expected. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the aquarium water with a tester, and to replace old pumps with hardened cords with new ones; otherwise, you might end up like I did three weeks ago when suddenly (luckily I was at home) it started sparking at the bottom and there was fire with smoky bubbles...
Ryan1989
By the way, my nasty wrasse has eaten almost all the stomatels, it catches them skillfully and grinds them against the rocks... the entire bottom is covered in shells... so there’s also such a destroyer in the world...
