Shadow or light doesn't matter to her. If this is dendrophilia (the photo is really bad) - it's a non-photosynthetic coral. Feed daily. She eats thawed copepods, artemia, grated shrimp. Use tweezers to bring the food closer to her mouth. Do this several times with breaks of about 15 minutes. This is all if she is well-fed - she will open up on her own. If not, then you need to feed her more. This is a bit more complicated.

Half an hour ago, I gave a piece of shrimp - she started eating, but then a hermit crab flew in and snatched the shrimp (the grated piece) from her mouth. Thank you! I will keep feeding her.

Stuart

stand guard with a stick and drive away until it swallows

Richard

I drove it away. Only a shot to the head can drive it away. Next time, I will feed it when it is at the end of the tank. By the way, one dendrophilia is opening up and its size is about 1-1.5 cm, while the other one hardly opens... I will feed them...

Dennis

It's not that simple. You take a bottle, cut off the top part with the neck. You cover the little animal with it and through the neck, you use a syringe to pollinate the coral with fine food (cyclops, hatched artemia, etc.). Leave it for about 15 minutes. Then repeat or just move the bottle to stir up the settled food again. Leave it for another 15 minutes. Remove the bottle. Do this twice a day. (Preferably once after the lights go out.)

Danielle

I used to do that when I was fattening up dendrophilia and tubastria upon arrival. After that, it's lazy to mess around with the necks. It's also tedious. It's easier to stand guard for a couple of minutes with the same pipette, chasing away shrimp and pincher butterflies.

Kathleen

What a hassle. Feeding is the only downside of non-photosynthetic organisms.

What to do... We will feed... Dendrophilia came with J.K. (living stones)

Rodney

I think this will be more convenient. Thank you, I will try! Today I fed with Artemia using a syringe. It's not convenient...

Sydney

Damn! The hermit is trying to eat the dendrophilia! Although she has shriveled up, he clearly has a thing for her! She must smell good to him. Well, I can't just pull his claws out!

Chris

Thank you all! Feeding with tweezers. Crunching away! Although not really into shrimp... Artemia is more to my liking.
