Check out this topic and decide for yourself whether you need them or not! By the way, regarding eating fan worms... the helmans also love them; mine immediately ate all the worms, both small and large, and then even the aiptasia...

Frederick

Thank you. I read it. I don't even know if I should start it. I might take the risk of getting a yellow pincertail (forcipiger).

Rick

What volume does your holothurian live in? And how long does it live? I have a holothurian, and a butterfly can peck at it.

Rachel9060

It has been living for about a month in a 300-liter aquarium. It didn't eat the glass shrimp right away, only started after it eliminated the worms. Now there are 5 large ones left in the aquarium, but they are already scared... I hope it won't be for long. I haven't kept a butterfly, but based on the experience of forum members, it can be concluded that it will not only eat the holothurian... It's not easy with the helmon either... On Friday, my husband brought two small tridacnas, and the smaller one, about 5 cm, was terrorized by the helmon for a couple of days. Now it seems to have calmed down...

Camels don't touch iphtazis, they eat peppermints (depends on luck). Peppermint Camel R,S. Forcepiger, by the way, also doesn't touch iphtazis.

A familiar forcipiger devoured all the aiptasia.

I have a Butterflyfish Chelmon rostratus that has been living for almost two years. I got it when it was the size of a five-kopeck coin, and now it is 8-9 cm in diameter. It eats all frozen foods, as well as live ones (it doesn't accept dry food at all). It loves aiptasia; yesterday I specifically brought some aiptasia-rich plants from the service, and within an hour, it tore everything apart and devoured it. As for the claim that it lives for a year in a reef, that's nonsense; they don't live long in pure oil (poisoned ones live as long as sick ones if not treated). Anatoly's Chelmon has been living for almost four years, God willing. Best regards.

Wow. What size tank does it live in? I have 100 liters and the nitrites are elevated. The Helmon won't survive. The Helmon will touch the corals.

Matthew

I have a nitrite level of 0.1 with 3 fish. Sometimes it drops to 0.05. It's unclear why it's so high.

Allison

I immediately got hit by three dactyls, and only then did I start working on the apathy.

Spencer7805

Yeah... It's a pity for the tridacna. In general, everything depends on the character of the helmon.

Caroline1599

It's my own fault with the tridactyl, but the helmon... You can't go against nature.

Stuart

In the sense of being guilty yourself? The tridacna just slammed the helmon.

Kathryn514

Everything bad that happens in your reef is your own fault; either you didn't notice and take action, or you knew but took the risk and lost. Therefore, you can't blame the coral for pinching another, or the fish for eating the shrimp, fish, or sponge.

This is true.
