People, did no one go into quarantine?

Raven7170

There is no experience with quarantine! But I'm curious myself, as I wanted to order fish on wheels! You can install a UV sterilizer; they said the water is blue, meaning methylene blue is added, and there are very frequent water changes with different medications! I might be mistaken, let the local gurus correct me!

It will be necessary to drain at least 10% of the existing water and add fresh water.

I decided to place the fish directly in the display, as there is already a sterilizer and an ozonator installed there. Since I have no experience with a quarantine tank.

My quarantine aquarium looks like this. The aquarium is 240 liters (120x50x40), and it contains 180 liters of seawater collected through water changes (it's better to fill the quarantine tank with at least 50% water from an established aquarium, ideally all of it). The aquarium must have a water pump and an air diffuser. The lighting is minimal, with at least one blue bulb (two blue bulbs are acceptable). The UV light is kept on constantly when the fish are in there. The hiding spots consist of ceramic tubes, two per individual, rather than dry reef rocks (D.R.R.) and live rocks (L.R.), as the tubes are easier to clean if needed. Here are some links for you to read for reference. Good luck!

Thank you. I will use 125 liters, I collected sand and stones from the sea. I set up aeration and current, filled it 100% with water from the established aquarium (500 liters display), today we connected a 18W UV, there is no other. The fish will arrive on Sunday: 2 ocellaris and 2 zebrasomas. If there are any recommendations or advice, please share. If needed, I will take a photo of the quarantine tank.

Inna, the aquarium is truly a sight to behold, but how will you disinfect it??? If it is indeed a quarantine tank? As for the crypto, the minimum quarantine period is 3-6 weeks at a temperature of 24-27°C, and longer periods (for example, 7-11 weeks) may be required.

I can use medications containing copper and others depending on what the fish will need. A UV sterilizer is already connected, and the ozonator is currently idle, waiting for its time. After quarantine, I won't need anything from it, neither sand nor rocks. Everything will be discarded. The pump, stream, and others will be thoroughly cleaned and kept as a backup just in case. Here are some photos of the main aquarium where the fish will be moved after quarantine. And this 125-liter aquarium will indeed be for quarantine.

On Monday, it will be three weeks since the fish has been in quarantine. The fish looks healthy, is active, and eats well. No measures have been taken, as there was no need. For care, we changed 10 liters of freshly salted water every 3-4 days. If everything continues to go smoothly, I plan to move it on July 20, which will be 5 weeks. If there are any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.
