There is a very clear method for treating zoos and other corals that many have tried without issues: a mixture of furacilin and furadonin, and I don't remember what else, which can be bought at the pharmacy for a low price. By the way, Tatyana has already tried one of the methods, and it was successful! I can't find her topic...
Mike
Wow, there it is, the topic )))))))))))))))

Thank you for the link, it just so happens that one colony is indeed Tatyana's. I read about these treatment methods, but I still wanted to understand exactly what the cause is, so I don't end up treating everything indiscriminately. I will probably try this method tomorrow! I hope it doesn't get worse.

Thank you very much! I read it. But I don't have a quarantine tank. Can I just make a bath like with iodine in a one-liter container? As I understand, one ampoule of Furacilinum is used, which is designed for 40 liters. And to simply bathe in a small vessel, like you did, what proportions of Furacilinum and Furazolidone are needed per liter of water?

Artem, I treated mine for smallpox with a solution of furacilin + furazolidone, making baths for 15 minutes, it really helped, but you need to keep at it; if it hasn't completely gone away, repeat the procedure in a week. Umbrellas may lose color after bathing, but they recover over time.

Oleg, I will also bathe mine, but I just can't figure out how much solution is needed for the bath. There is information online everywhere about the usual additives for the aquarium.

Check the frags for asterisks and remove them if present. I once had a colony destroyed by these stars.
Natasha
Asterinas are not the issue; I have a full aquarium of them, and they haven't eaten a single zoanthid or anything else. From my observations, they feed on the growths on the glass and rocks, and it seems to me they prefer places where corals die, but why they die is a completely different question...
Dennis
The asterinas are not to blame; I have a full aquarium of them and they haven't eaten a single zoanthid or anyone else. But mine have eaten.
Richard
The asters only worry Klavularia, but most of all Brerarium, they don't pay attention to the umbrellas.

The umbrellas are still closed. I did 3 procedures with Taki's prescription (furan2), but it didn't help. I took everything apart into small colonies and glued them. Maybe they will open up. The asterinas are not involved at all; they can only eat the bending coral.

Furan is a bit different from another ailment... I treated this one with hydrogen peroxide, and unfortunately, it didn't help much, but I treated it without bias, there's not enough time... and with a weak solution of 1/5...
I don't understand what kind of disease it is, why they close up and dry out. I later restored my lost species by acquiring them on the forum. Some live and grow, for example, the blue ones have not taken twice...

I tried everything, but I haven't tried hydrogen peroxide, and probably there was no point, since for a whole week I bathed them every day in iodine and furacilin... By the way, some polyps opened up a bit after I fragged them. I suspect some dark-colored slime that looks like a sponge on the rock where they were growing. In general, for the future, I will keep in mind that if there are no visible signs of infection, it's better to frag them, as the chances of saving them will be higher.

I haven't been able to open them for two months. Everything you listed also didn't help.

Guys, take a photo. There is the same problem.
Tami
There's nothing left to photograph, but I can just advise you—if there are any open, healthy polyps, it's better to cut them off and attach them to another stone. This way, at least you have a 100% chance of saving someone. In my opinion, the stone on which the umbrellas were growing was infected with something like mold. All the methods that were recommended to me (soaking in iodine, soaking in the antiseptic Furan-2, in osmosis) didn't help. I partially saved them using the fragmentation method.
