Ask this person what they didn't tell you, specifically what they added to the aquarium and what experiments they conducted (what they were mixing).

Kristen2246

Okay, I'll find out tomorrow.

Monique1236

Tests for today: KN 6 pH 8 Ca 400 Mg 1100 Ni 50 Po 0.1 Salinity 1.023

Erin

In the last six months, only bio calcium and bio magnesium from Tropic Marin have been added to the aquarium. Before that, lime water was added, and once iron vitriol was used.

Rodney3101

iron sulfate... Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!! I just have no words!

Phyllis

Yes... but all these experiments are far in the past, and the consequences are still visible...

Wants to continue further, let everyone spill, stones in the garden, and a complete restart. Safety requirements In terms of its effect on the human body, it belongs to substances of class III toxicity (moderately hazardous). The maximum allowable concentration of iron sulfate aerosol (P) in the air of the working zone of production facilities is 2 mg/m³. And you put it in the water!

Chad

Is there a way to bring it out differently?

John1464

I doubt it, most likely this pest has infested everything possible. Replacements are unlikely to solve this problem.

James4757

Can I ask a friend (purely for informational purposes) - why limestone and copper sulfate????

Leonard

Given the slow development of marine aquaristics and the topic, a cheaper alternative to water changes was sought.

I understood who we were talking about, it's Vasily. I warned him in a phone conversation not to mess with things and God forbid to throw anything into the aquarium. From our conversation, I realized that he intended to experiment, but he never explained why he needed to do it. However, I understood that he had access to these chemical substances. He didn't listen, and now this problem won't be easily resolved. It's still lucky that everything didn't go wrong for him.

Erin

After your conversation at the beginning of summer, he stopped experimenting...

Sara4035

What can I say - your friend has made a big leap in the development of a marine aquarium.

Brian7092

Believe me, he realized that he made a big mistake..... And the corner, or some other fillers, are not able to pull out all the unwanted substances???????. I understand that a restart is the right thing to do, but maybe it can be done a second time....

IRON SULFATE can be tried to be removed with SODA!!! Since during the reaction sodium sulfate and iron carbonate are formed, which is insoluble, it will precipitate. Sodium sulfate I think poses no threat. Also, soda in the aquarium will only increase the KH. Fill the aquarium with water from the tank and add soda, stir, and take a look at the bottom! Dissolve the soda in osmosis water and use it in very small doses!

Gene1948

Good evening, I am posting the actions that were taken to improve the condition of the aquarium: 1. Easy Vital was purchased: first stage - double dose, water change after 7 days 30% of the water; second stage - double dose, water change after 7 days 30% of the water; third stage - double dose, water change after 7 days 35% of the water. 2. Carbon plus was added. As of today, there are no changes for the better...(((

Because there it was necessary to collect the corals (what was left) into a container. Drain the aquarium. Remove the substrate and live rocks and throw them in the trash. Buy new sand, live rocks, and salt, and do a restart. This system will no longer work as it should. No matter how you dance with a tambourine.
