Is there a possibility to catch fish? (without or with minimal stress? to do fresh baths or with some medication and generally to keep the fish until you can)
If there is no possibility to catch - do you have a reef or not?
Can you pour the medication directly into the aquarium? (is it based on copper?)
Morshnev wrote a lot about crypts...
Breanna9982
I turned on the ozone. The UV is on - if needed, I can turn it on as well. You can try to catch it, but it will be running in the rocks - it's a reef.

I have never dealt with crypto, but from what I know: if you can't treat with baths or can't separate them, then just wait... ozone/UV only kills the cysts in the water, not on the fish or substrate... but it will still be useful (I don't know if they can be used simultaneously). In general, feed and avoid creating unnecessary stress... and hope that the immunity is enough.
Nicole
No panic, Hepatus is a stressful fish... it might have slept poorly in the crypt... It could have gotten startled in the crypt... The water is bad in the crypt, there are many reasons... But it fights off the crypt quite well on its own. With its immunity. I also had panic at first when I got it. But then I started feeding it garlic (for immunity) and now everything is fine! What rubs against the stones is it cleaning itself (instead of the cleaning shrimp).
Amber9312
the same, just without garlic. The less you mess with the aquarium and the more stable it is, the better for the hapatus.

So, should we not catch him? Let him overcome it himself? I'm giving him garlic and vitamins. I was just thinking of catching him tomorrow - but he's in quarantine. I have the same issue with two surgeons - a hipatus and a chocolate one...
Christopher1252
It depends on how much he is covered.
Rodney
Here the question is strange, sometimes the shedding goes away, sometimes it comes back... it's like a seesaw... But I give garlic and vitamins every day, and also a three-meal ration. I'm thinking maybe I should get another wrasse? Otherwise, I have 7 shrimp (5 torpedo, 2 bloody).

I once had a situation where my plant was heavily infested—I thought it was time to prepare a burial ritual... But no! Just a little garlic in the feed and feeding 2-3 times a day for a couple of days, and everything was fine. Garlic is only for general boosting and strengthening the immune system... And transplanting it into quarantine is already a stress (catching it takes time) + different water...
Barbara
There are more than enough shrimp, or are you making a strategic stock for the beer? While the system stabilizes, it will keep jumping like this. Everything has been good for me for about 4 months, knock on wood.

So, should we take the second gubana-tora, or else this one won't manage to clean everyone up...
Lee
Well, if you really want it, take it. But I wouldn't take it... There will be competition.

The idea is that they will work faster... at least that's the plan...
Cheryl
Catch all the fish and quarantine the aquarium without them while you treat the fish, which takes at least 14 days. If you leave even one fish in the aquarium, it will remain a carrier of crypto, and when you return the fish after quarantine, everything will start over again. In the reef, UV should be running continuously at the moment, and if possible, use an ozonator for 5-6 hours during the day. Minimize disturbances. Do not throw medications into the reef; don't trust anyone to take a chance. If not all, then many corals will be affected, and you will disrupt the entire system, which will be very difficult to restore later.
Tasha
I read about this in the news - that the quarantine is 14 days, but I still won't be able to catch them all... the little dog won't let me. I turned on the ozone, I'm turning on the UV (I'm taking an additional pump for it).
Rodney7316
I have the ozone on - and it seems to boost immunity too... at least that's what it says in the smart books...

It writes correctly, the UV is powerful and gives excellent results, but you need to monitor the water temperature. I have a 36-watt UV, strong flashes extinguished the crypto. I dosed Paragard at less than half the recommended amount, and after that, a mini restart began, this is my personal result. But I lost the white-breasted and Helmonas then. The yellow zebra that I had at that time and infected everyone has recovered. And then I bought the 36-watt UV. I had an 18-watt one - I didn't see any results. Now I only use the 36-watt when buying new fish, and I also have a very weak pump on it, the water passes through slowly.
Melanie
I have 9 watts for 200 liters, and I'm getting a pump for 150 liters.
Natalie
How did you connect the UHF? Did the system do it by itself? I was thinking of putting it on return, but that's just not an option. I had the idea of just putting the flask in the sample, but so far I haven't found anything like that...
Kathy
It needs to be hung in the sump on a separate low-power pump - to be turned on as needed...
Mario
I have everything simple, the UHF rests on the glass and on the partition in the samp. Plus, in the photo, you can see where the pump is. It's convenient for me that I can easily remove or install it. Otherwise, it's big, and the cabinet is completely occupied.
Leonard
Thank you... I think I'll do the same, I'll order from Fish Street a 9 or 18-watt and connect it to a 300-liter pump in the sump...
Guy
You still have space in your cabinet ... you would see mine ... I think my cabinet is the most extreme on the forum.

In this case, I meant in principle, not only fresh aquas but also stable ones. After all, the principle of vaccination is that as long as there is a pathogen, there is immunity against it. What did you mean by "your small support"? This is what I'm saying: it's not just about treating the fish, but helping it to create immunity in the proper way. But I think this can be done and is not necessarily required to be in quarantine.
Diana8604
Well, I didn't write it so categorically, and my "quote" had a continuation where I said that we adapt a lot to our own style and create something new. It's not that the advice is unsuitable or irrelevant. I constantly listen to others' advice, and I have all the books on my computer that I read. For example, if earlier a quarantine was an axiom for successful fishkeeping, now, in my opinion, it's undoubtedly useful and good to have, but it's no longer an axiom, given the current medications, UV, and knowledge of biological processes.
Darlene4238
I agree with that. But what if there is no quarantine??? THERE ISN'T ONE, DAMN IT!!! And there won't be one here, at least. It's good for those who live in a private house and have a small room for the sea - but what about those who don't?
Andrea
I have three fish tanks, a quarantine tank and a hospital tank all in one 17-meter room in a Khrushchyovka, against one wall opposite the window, and it's messy. I live not in a house but in a two-room Khrushchyovka. Well, the fact that there is no space is either an excuse or fear of my wife.
Bethany
Off-topic, but I don't want to go to the point of absurdity... either everything is fine, or forget it... I’m not going to trade my fish for a wife!!!
Maria
Off-topic. I'm doing well, engaged in my favorite activities, and my wife doesn't dominate; she knows how to support her husband and even helps. Well, the absurdity is with those who are under the thumb and do everything as their wife says, and God forbid they don't please her. To each their own.

Offtopic: any relationship is built on mutual compromise, and when one partner dominates the other, it becomes slavery. Sorry, but I don't need that. And if someone calls compromises "being henpecked," that's their problem. The discussion is over.
