Hello, Igor! Put it in turbulent flow where there is more light. It will molt and start to straighten out. Apparently, you deprived it of everything. The coral itself is indestructible. And the heteromorph that has grown into the tissue has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Jesse

And also - who is located upstream from her?

Ryan1989

There is no one in front of her. Or rather, there wasn't. I specifically placed it on strong airflow, almost at the pump's outlet. Could it really be the light? But I just positioned it almost at the very top, 5 cm from the surface, so that the morning sun shines directly on it. In the morning, at five, it was lying on the clavicular. The light came on - after 10 minutes, it started to lift its head...

How long does this last? If it's 2-4 days, then there's nothing wrong with that. It might be leveling up, or it could be shedding.

Yarik..... two weeks, damn. She's lost weight, her leg is thin, and she used to be like a cutlet. I don't know what to do. Maybe I should bathe her carefully in Lugol's solution?

Damn, I wouldn't want to burn it just like that... Can I take a closer look at it? Are there any parasites on it? So that if I do wash it, I can do it confidently, not just for preventive purposes.

My Sinularia also shriveled up and lay there for almost a week without releasing polyps. Before that, the pump was off for about 3 hours. I set up another one, and everything perked up, but it withered. Yesterday, I noticed it started to release a few polyps. I changed the water. Today, it’s a little better. I think I should wait a bit longer and not disturb it. Let it stay where it was.

Do you think the water is to blame? I change 5% of it every other day with fresh water. On distillate. Damn... "I change 5% of it every other day" = this is for the synularka. On purpose. It's a shame to lose the animal.

Kimberly

Stop the substitutions for now and move the pump away from it, otherwise it acts on it like a fire hose.

Rachel

Well, Sinularia is really not a very picky coral. It just got stressed from the flow stopping and went into "reboot." The same thing happened with Lobophytum - also due to water (the hermit crab died). It would have been better to change 20% at once instead of 5% every other day. And if the other corals are feeling fine, don't change anything else, just observe if it starts to slowly release polyps. It hasn't started to rot or disintegrate, right? Is it still holding onto the rock? That means it will recover. The main thing is not to stress it further with changes in flow, etc. I have a feeling it will bounce back!

I can remove the polyps and shrink for 2 days. But here it's been two weeks... Something has changed. The water parameters seem to be strong. It reacts more to the current and the neighbors...

My began to come to life, and you can see the shedding film after molting. So, the molting process is not quick for her. The film prevents the polyps from emerging. The reason that triggered the molting can only be speculated, but the fact is there. So, your Sinularia will molt and will be more beautiful than before!
