Why not the bannerfish (Heniochus acuminatus)? In general, the distinctly enlarged dorsal fin and relatively small anal fin seem to exclude the angelfish from the heavy burden of choice.

Here I am trying to say that this is not scalar.

I think the content of the event is what matters, not the discussion about cartoon Biotopa. Off-topic, and here’s the name)))))) Guys, I'm waiting for your logins for the contest next year. In the meantime, Biotopa has DONE its job!

Definitely not a scalarius. For me, it's Zanclus cornutus, because the snout of Zanclus is more elongated and the "lips" are clearly larger than those of Heniochus acuminatus, as can be seen in the picture. In reality, they have many differences as well.

Biotope, so biotope. Volodya, is it a genus or a species?)))))))
Barbara
It was just striking that for the cichlid biotope competition, they chose not a cichlid at all for the emblem.

What’s the point of chatting? Either stick to the topic or move on. Different sources refer to it differently, but they all converge on one point. Zanclus cornutus, the Moorish idol, is a marine fish. The Moorish idol (Zanclus cornutus) belongs to the family Zanclidae. The species Zanclus cornutus is undoubtedly related to surgeonfish, and many confidently assert that Zanclus fish are surgeonfish (Family Acanthuridae).
