From personal experience. In a 600-liter aquarium, two VERY SMALL butterfly fish were introduced and grew up alongside other fish. Feeding was done only with tweezers. They didn't bother anyone, even when they outgrew their neighbors. But, as they say, every case is different...

Well, I also plan to have an aquarium of about 500 liters... I think there will be enough space for them... Plus, I intend to get very small clownfish and winged fish... On the other hand, who knows what might come to mind - after all, it's a predator...

Teresa

Well... try it, just make sure to have more cover... in the Central Asia, we kept the flying fish separately, just like other predatory and venomous fish...

Tammy

I just saw little winged ones in the CA yesterday))) It reminded me of my childhood dream))) I will be there in a few days - I will try to ask about compatibility)))

1. Clownfish do not wander around the shelters when their home is an anemone nearby. 2. If you take a Winged Fish and clownfish of the same size at the same time, the Winged Fish grows faster, will surpass them in growth, and will eat the first male in the twilight, as it is smaller. Just one thing, if you keep those species of clownfish that grow large, for example, the Pravas, and they grow for about six months with you, and then you acquire a small Winged Fish, then something might work out, although I cannot say with complete certainty what might happen in two years. Best regards.

But there is another option - a winged insect eats another winged insect of the same size (I saw it with my own eyes!!!)

Christopher1774

The winged one eats everything except for the large spinor, as the spinor first eats the winged one - and then a big white shark swims by, spits, and... swims away!

Catherine

complete nonsense. In the aquarium sits a spinosaur with a winged creature. They don't care about each other, comrades.

Kellie

I support that! I had a group of medium cichlids and a pair of small characins in a 300-liter tank for 2 years!!! Everything was calm and friendly! I think that with an abundance of food, the predator instinct dulls.

Melissa

What do cichlids have to do with it, and how can one discuss the behavior of freshwater cichlids in a marine context? Freshwater is not the sea, and comparing them is foolish.

The clone fish meant something else, read between the lines.

Has anyone ever seen how a butterflyfish (Chaetodon auriga) snatches an amphiprion (clownfish) 4.5 cm long right out of an anemone, not fearing to get burned? Feeding a marine aquarium is certainly a "good" thing, but how do you explain that a well-fed butterflyfish has devoured a clownfish? The answer is obvious: a potential prey and a predator in the same aquarium are incompatible. After all, in this case, the fish grew side by side for a year until what happened occurred. P.S. D. Stepanov once wrote that large butterflyfish do not touch their smaller relatives. An incident occurred that completely disproves this statement.

Sydney

I read it... thought a lot... probably will have to give it up))) clowns are sacred... the winged one can wait a little longer...

Mike

The issue of the proportionality of the lionfish and clowns, as well as the frequency and amount of food received by the lionfish. For example, acquire a lionfish from the genus Dendrochirus, specifically Dendrochirus brachypterus, which is small in size, addressing dietary concerns.
