Hello!
I have kept the spotted duckfish Lepadogaster lepadogaster, a very amusing fish, but it's difficult to feed it in large aquariums as it tends to hide all the time. In a small aquarium, it wouldn't be a problem; it ate bloodworms well... I can't remember what else.

How long did it live with you?
I currently have 7 of them in a 30-liter tank. I want to increase the volume a bit. I feed them beef heart. To be honest, they don't eat very well, and that worries me. The other day I bought frozen shrimp and bloodworms. They seem to eat a little better, but it's still not ideal. It's very bad that if the food falls to the bottom, they rarely pick it up.
Overall, I really like the fish!

I don't even remember, it was about 25 years ago... I remember that she ate live maggots well, I think she should eat gammarus well too, but I just don't know if she will take frozen ones...

What are you taking?

I caught them in the Black Sea. It's not a problem to catch them. I catch them every year.

I would buy a couple or three.

I can help, but not until summer. You have to go to the sea to catch it. Moreover, for catching, you need to dive to a depth of 1-2.5 meters and catch it by hand. Since I don't plan to go to the sea in the near future, and later the water will be cold, we will have to wait for summer. By the way, there are two species of these suckers living there.

It's a pity, but I'll wait, the fish is cool!

The fish is VERY cool! If I have extra space, I will get these fish again.

Where did you catch it? I’m ashamed to admit I haven’t seen any like that around here. Tell me where (location, habitat), I’ll pay more attention. If anything, I’ll share. I dive all year round.
P.S. Cool fish.

I saw it in Fiolent.

And then...? You didn't see her on the shore, did you?

I understand that it is found all along the Southern coast. I fished between Sudak and Alushta. The depth is 0.5-2.5 m. On a rocky bottom. It hides under the stones. It is not easy to catch, but it is possible.

Well, you guessed it! Next - into the water! At a depth of up to one and a half meters. In August. In the rocks.

There is a possibility to bring Black Sea fish:
Lepadogaster lepadogaster
Lepadogaster candolii
