I have a build on an algae light, the growth is incredible
10 Cree LEDs (30% of the nominal)
The execution of the build is simply superb! - thick COPPER plate
Regarding your option
I can say for sure that almost half of the LEDs will not be used
the entire channel 2 makes no sense in the sea (IMHO)
channel 3 will be used at 20-30%
I made these conclusions based on my experience in creating LED lights

Theoretically, at 80-90% power, there won't be overheating of the substrate with all the diodes? As for the 2 assemblies at 120 cm, it seems a bit insufficient; they will either shine directly down or will have to be placed high above the water to cover the entire bottom due to beam divergence.
