Monster... So what are your impressions compared to what it was before????

Angela7060

Whose lamp is it? Who made it?

Patricia1746

2: Just super. The light, as I mentioned in my thread, is like in Egypt at a depth of 1 meter. The reflectors have clearly increased the efficiency of the lamps. Plus, the new 400W lamp is just a dream. However, it might be stressful for the corals. So for now, I placed a glass cover on the aquarium for a week. 2: Whose, like who? Mine, me!!! Although the workers at the base were slacking off, the edge-bending machine was idle - they helped as much as they could.

Ryan1989

pass!!!

Optics is a power.... I can't say exactly how much it increases the lamp's efficiency, but it's definitely by several times.. However, you still have a reserve.... Material... Stainless steel doesn't have the highest reflection coefficient...

Charles894

I agree, aluminum would be better. Reflection coefficient, thermal conductivity, weight... Oh, someday I'll make reflectors out of aluminum!

And the road to the printing house where there are sheet-fed offset printing machines. For most of them, the image carrier is a photoplates measuring 760x605mm, made from high-quality aluminum, on which a negative is created from which the printing machine transfers the image to the print run, the reverse side is always clean. The item is single-use, i.e., with normal operation, one can accumulate about 300 kilograms of such scrap metal in a month, and a kilogram costs around 10. The sheet is quite thin and can be cut with regular office scissors.

Stas, in the first post, the photo shows two dark actinics and two light ones. Which ones are which, and which do you like more? I currently have Aquamedic Reef Blue and Fauna Marin Duo, and I want to try some others; candidates are Hagen and JBL.

Emily3144

Where did you get the EPRA for MG? Thank you.

James4342

The dark ones are JBL actinics - I'm not very satisfied with them - they're very weak, I just replaced them with Fauna Marin Duo - and I'm MEGA satisfied with these. Right now, I have 2 Fauna Marin Duo and 2 Fauna Marin actinics. I would really like to try Zeo and ATI lamps for comparison, but they are not available in our market.

Cheyenne2747

Bought in the USA, thanks to Gleb ().

Vincent

I have heard good reviews about JBL. Someone from our forum wrote that they are, on the contrary, the brightest. Maybe it meant the bluest.

Karen1649

I won't even say anything. Buy 2 lamps: JBL and Fauna. Turn them on at the same time and form your own opinion.

Susan

I would compare, but I didn't get the Actinic Fauna. The question is complicated by the fact that I currently have nothing to illuminate, and judging the lamps while lighting an empty aquarium seems somewhat inappropriate.

Kristin

China... c) crap... you don't have to worry. A friend works at a printing house, he has plenty of this trouble... tried it, didn't help. No reflective surface.

Brooke3987

This topic can be discussed endlessly, but all manufacturers of quality reflectors use this material.

Veronica

What is this white ballast next to the red one? What brand is it?

Dawn6148

While Stas is at "Krasnomorye," I will answer, both ballasts from CoralView, white 2*250 watts, red *400 watts...

Joshua8425

So before they were white, and now they are black.
