Hello! The pen turned out nice! But regarding the height, it's better to shorten it.

Joseph1346

I thought so myself, but I won't. The foam is already hard to fit in there.

Beth3383

If it's not too much trouble, please take a photo of the foam when it goes into working mode. We'll check the foam level. And, as I understood from the discussion, this parameter will eliminate the question of air suction. P.S. It turned out very neatly, considering it's done by a solo master.

Brandy1134

I am currently selecting the diameter for the water and air inlet, but for today, the 200mm pipe is filled with a white mixture of water and air up to 55cm, so I won't be shortening it.

Kimberly

I took a photo last night. I like the foam. But let it work a bit more, then we can make a final conclusion.

Ricky9405

The SUPER foam has turned out great. I tried to determine the foam level from the photo. I don't see a clear boundary. But I think it's no less than 6 liters (that's a pessimistic estimate), maybe even 8 liters. I think it's fair to say that in this case, the height of the foam is "guessed" and aligned with the pump's performance (in terms of air). Overall, I approve 100%. I even want one for myself.

Deborah2682

Original photo. See Personally for a P.S. Envy is a bad feeling. Don't do it, it's not nice.

Lisa

I thought the foam level was 2 times lower. But I didn't see a clear boundary in the photo. Am I correct in understanding the foam level: it starts from where the chaotic movement of air bubbles is no longer present, where they are moving closely together evenly upward? P.S. The argument has already become serious. If we could see a video of the top of the pipe, the question about the foam level would be resolved for everyone.

David7773

I have a DSLR that unfortunately doesn't record video, but I'll try to come up with something.

Amy9618

These disputes are completely pointless. For example, one skimmer is placed in an aquarium where the organic matter is off the charts and nitrates are at 100. Of course, that skimmer will produce N liters of foam. The second skimmer is in a SPS tank, where the corals are starving. Where would the foam come from there? THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE. If you take two skimmers and place them in the same system... and look not at the air intake or other indicators, but only at how much foam each one produces... They made great skimmers, and the argument here is irrelevant.

Amber

I suggest that all interested parties read the article, reflect on it, draw conclusions, and CALM DOWN.

John5528

I think I wrote exactly that above, just in human language!

James5103

Several new photos. I tried a white fitting + a few more changes.

Chad9037

Not bad, but it's all bubbly. Try raising the grid higher; I marked it in the photo.

Lee425

It can be raised, of course, but let it work, get used to it, and everything will even out. On the previous model, there were also many bubbles at first going to waste, but now it has normalized.

Ryan1989

Why not Shepetivka? Better on neutral ground - in Kyiv. For now, let's just vote.

George5104

Several photos of the new foamers. The photos are delayed because I connected the 6000L/L lagoon to the Aquamedic Shorty.

"Little" foam maker with a base of 23x36 cm and a height of up to 60 cm. Laguna pump 6000 l/h, on a "fluffy" wheel. The high cone justifies itself, effectively eliminating turbulence. The cup has a "bayonet" connection. There is a screw-type, very smooth adjustment for draining the foam maker, making it easy to regulate the level in the foam maker. The silencer has an air supply adjustment for the pump, allowing for a more precise adjustment of the water/air ratio in the pump. That seems to be everything. Oh yes, the foam maker is completely disassemblable, making it easy to clean.

Danielle8118

Fedor, post 57, doesn't the injector at Aquamedic seem a bit small to you? It has a 3 mm inlet. I have one like that that gets clogged twice a week.

Matthew7977

2, if this was referring to the air inlet, then I periodically "give the foam a drink of water." And the person put a valve on the air inlet to press down the pump, causing the foam to overflow.

Alexandra

For a pump of this and greater performance, in my opinion, a 6 mm inner diameter is just right; it will never clog, and you can also limit the air with a valve. I especially liked the last foam maker shown; it's clear that a lot of effort and ideas have been put into it. I look forward to new models with interest. -)))

Amy

In connection with the recent posts in the thread, I have an interesting question - what is the warranty on the product? I will ask both competing organizations. How long is the warranty on your product? What does it cover, and if it is limited, what are the limitations?

Rodney7316

Yes, the same as for any other product. A breakdown due to the manufacturer's fault means repair at their expense and vice versa. In disputed cases, repairs are done for free. On the other hand, what is there to break? Laguna pumps are quite a reliable product, although the ceramic shaft on the axle is not very appealing. For example, I don't see a non-warranty case in the foamer. Unless the pump burns out, which is unlikely, but even in that case, the pump is sent back to the supplier, and I think 95% of the time it will be replaced under warranty. In other cases, almost all issues are resolved on-site.

Natasha

Isn't the ceramic rod in Laguna made of something other than titanium?

Brian6895

In the original, the Laguna pump uses ceramic. The company Royal Exclusive modifies the pump when manufacturing the skimmers. They replace the shaft with a metal rod and change the graphite bushings.

Andrew419

I would like to clarify that the titanium alloy axle is used in models from VK200 and above, while various MiniBK variations use the original Hagen axles.

Kenneth7331

Hello. What does "the drain is made in the base" mean?

Alexander

How to put it. The white base of the foam generator, where all the pipes are laid out. Water comes out of the foam generator inside it. Voila!

Amy9618

Is it to reduce the turbulence of water in the buoyancy compartment, or to decrease the immersion depth?

Sarah5423

These models were interesting as external ones, but they are all placed in the sample. And when the exit is above the base, it is necessary to clarify in which direction it exits, maybe downwards, etc., but in this case, there are simply no such questions.

Jennifer7159

Slightly adjusted.

Shawn

New pen. Slightly changed the design. I will receive the pump in a few days, will install it in the sump, and will test it. P.S. This is still a draft.

Amy5468

Received a penny from FEDORA. With a vertical takeoff.

Kathleen

Here we go!

Phyllis

How is the work going? What volume will you set?

Dennis

Volume 1000 liters. The last photo of the foam was taken just after I turned it on. Tomorrow I will post how it fills up.

Michael

just not like that

William1830

I'll fix it now.

Derek7322

I fixed it.

Frank7213

Here is the work.

Joshua448

I should receive the needle wheel soon, made in several versions. I'm going to try and test it.

Collin

I played around with needle wheels. I liked it. The bubble is larger compared to the hairy wheel. But the foam maker works more stably. The client has been using it for almost a month, and the foam is said to be dry, like cotton. In the photo, it's the first half hour of operation in my sump, with an almost unloaded aquarium that only has cement, coral rubble, bacteria, and 2 disco anemones.

Frederick

Dim, I'm afraid to ask, but what does he then pull out of the water???? P.S. The emojis aren't loading, I'm saying this in a friendly way.

Erin2730

He was pouring bacteria in there, and even half a bucket of not very clean crumbs was sprinkled. The skim is currently green, as if phytoplankton is being knocked out.

Jonathon8514

A brand new penny. There are no significant differences from the previous one, so here are a few photos.

Brandon4517

The camera should capture the work of the pen. What is better there 100 times...?

Rachel

My DSLR doesn't record video.

Brian

Instead of the standard impeller... For experiments, you can buy "native" rotors with impellers and start making notches on them, similar to a comb... with different pitches, etc... it's cheap - and a field for experiments)) as long as your pump is disassemblable. In industrial foamers, the speed of the impeller shaft also plays an important role) which can also be adjusted on a regular pump (google frequency converters).

Mitchell3177

Dear Mr. Takeda, please accept my personal gratitude for your response to my question. The answer is clear and helpful. You have been the only generous colleague who has not overlooked me during this very long time. I shake your hand and wish you success in everything!

Loretta5483

Could you please tell me how you skillfully bend acrylic cones? I'm trying to make a homemade foam piece, but the cone is a nightmare...

Tiffany5069

Acrylic blank heats up for a long time with a heat gun and stretches. I place it on a mayonnaise jar (the neck has a small diameter) and press it with a 150-200mm acrylic tube. Something like that. P.S. I can make a cone to order. Something like this. It's not complicated; experience plays a bigger role.
