I installed the valve because there was no way to buy fittings, but the tap was purchased (there's nothing else from this series) and installed to make disassembly easier.
Although in my opinion, the tap is not an unnecessary device; if a more powerful pump is installed, it will carry bubbles from the CO reactor to the calcium reactor, and the tap can be used to reduce the flow.

I have problems with magnesium, I'm constantly lacking it. I raised it with magnesium chloride and sulfate, but after a couple of weeks it drops to a critical level.
In the reactor, calcium carbonate is present.
