Like a real one. Is this for the future 3000 liters? And where did you get the pipes and faucets?

Karen

For 3000 there will be another one, but this one is for now. Pipes and faucets are not a problem, they are for sale.

Melinda

Did you decide not to make a port for the pH electrode?

William1830

Slavik, what is the cost price of the structure?

Erica752

To make it, you need to drill a hole and cut threads, like on the electrode. I'll figure out where it's best to do this a little later.

So why measure pH in the reactor? To save gas? To refill the tank not once every six months, but a couple of months later? Well, calculate how much gas costs and how much an electrode with a controller costs! You'll be paying it off your whole life! If you're going to monitor pH, it's better to do it in the aquarium! And even then, as a precaution - if the pH drops below 8.0, turn off the CO2.

Judy

A marine aquarium from the perspective of profitability is something new (spent about 10-15 thousand dollars, you look at it and think when will this beauty pay off!!!!)

Alexandra

Can you object to something specific or will you resort to demagoguery?

Adam4310

The optimal pH in the reactor is 6-6.5. If it is lower, there is a risk of over-acidifying the aquarium. If it is higher, the reactor's performance decreases, but if there are not many calcium consumers, a pH of 7 will be fine. However, this is not for gas savings.

Steven7574

100% !!! A pH controller is necessary for more precise adjustment of the required pH level in the calcium reactor !!!! Gas savings are not relevant here !!! The main thing is to remember to calibrate the electrode once a month, because the settings of the calcium reactor drift !!!

As you can see, I have both a bubble counter and a pH electrode. I can only say what works best after trying different options. I don't see anything wrong with using a pH controller in a CO2 system. Little Muk, I would ask you to express your point of view based on your own experience, rather than quoting phrases from another forum.
