• Lighting for heteromorphs.

  • Earl

Good evening, everyone! I am still a complete beginner in marine aquaristics. I wanted to ask about lighting for a nano tank, as there is a lot of information on this topic, and different people use different lamps and fixtures. I have read about energy-saving bulbs, incandescent lamps, and professional expensive fixtures. Would such LED bulbs be suitable for lighting a nano marine tank with a small compartment for a seahorse to ensure its normal growth? These bulbs have a cool white spectrum.

I'm also a beginner, but for the hidden compartment with the heta, I would use a phytolamp; you can also find an even smaller LED.

I tried both with a predominance of white (the chaetomorpha fades) and with a predominance of red (it drives away unwanted algae). Don't think too hard about it; I settled on this setup. Right now, chaetomorpha grows best for me under 6 blue, 2 red, and 2 white lights. Chaetomorpha has a dark green color and is very resilient. It turned out to be a slight dimness. The algae tank is 50 by 40 with a depth of 35.

What is the more precise spectrum and type of LEDs?
