n88, they will fly, you won't be able to do anything.

There shouldn't be any bubbles from the drain, as it is completely filled with water. The bubbles are caused by the foam. Can you show a photo of the drain shaft? Sorry, I saw your photo of the drain. It's not underwater, so what did you expect? That's why it's sucking in air.

If it's a Durso, then bubbles are mandatory since the air-water mixture flows down the pipe; if you close the air valve, the drain won't start and will gurgle while operating.

In the return compartment, insert another glass and place a sponge between the glasses.

Thank you all for your help!

If the bubbles are coming from the plum, then tighten the tap a bit more; if that's not possible, a bag will help. If the bubbles are from the foam, then attach a strip of 3x3 cm or slightly larger (the largest) sponge to the tray at the bottom near the water's base, and the bubbles will break there.

In your sump, there is a difference in water levels between the section with the return pump and the skimmer section. This waterfall drives bubbles deep into the intake of the return pump. Try adding water; it should stop. If you need free volume in this section, then you need to build an additional wall. Large gravel (30-50 mm) or live rock can also help catch small bubbles.

Thank you. Today I will add more water. Over the weekend, I made a kind of de-bubbling device using a 50 mm sewage pipe and a water bottle. The bubbles are small now, but at least there are no splashes all over the tank!
