Oh, you really made a mess; there will be many stagnant zones. If you lay down grass, it will block the passage. All these air pockets are impractical. If the emergency level rises as you have drawn, then at startup, the skimmer will start pushing all the water along with the skimming through the top, as there will be the same water level. As much as I read and observe, and having designed myself, no one has come up with anything better than simple three compartments with sloping or vertically changing partitions. Of course, it's better to place the skimmer at the beginning.

I definitely told you that over the phone. And all this fight with J.K. (live rocks) is to be placed in the tank. And do you even need it if you plan to put 100 kg of stone (normal stone) in a 120x60x60 aquarium? You need to play Tetris for hours to fit everything in without it sticking out of the water. I haven't always been able to fit 100 kg into one quarantine tank (120x60x60), either it was overflowing or it took one and a half aquariums. Just a note.

There won't be a mine, there will be a small mine with a comb. The aquarium is on the right side by the wall, and I want to make the overflow external.

I understand that every novice sailor starts shaping their "genius" SAM and eventually comes to the classics, but why not discuss this topic once more? Why do you think algae will clog the passage shaft? There will be a fight with J.K. (living stones), which is not so easy to seal, right?
I removed the stagnant zones.

Under the lift pump and foam separator is the least reliable place; there won't be enough flow, and almost everything the foam separator is supposed to remove will accumulate there. Additionally, any grass that gets in— and it will— will hinder the already poor flow, leading to problems. I'm not even mentioning maintenance. Of course, you want something new and exotic for yourself, but in the end, you'll realize that it's all unnecessary and superfluous.

, reasonable.

Simple question - how to reach there (under the pump and skimmer) with your hand? No way? Forget it)
James4757
I have a Samp or something similar sitting somewhere for a couple of years now. And wherever I reached, there are still stones, shells, sand, and other nonsense left (I'll take a photo when I'm in the office). A Samp is not a liter aquarium; you can't just turn it over and wash it out.

What is the reserve (compartment) for? What is its function? If it serves to collect water from the display when the lights go out, then the question arises—how does the water return to the display when the lights are turned back on?
Ronald
This is probably a refill.

There must be a sufficient volume of water above the return pump so that it does not gulp air and does not pump out all the water in an instant.

If you bring your setup to a normal state, it will be a regular sump with an algae scrubber on the bypass, a scheme that has been tested many times. For example, it is described here. My sump design is even simpler, with just two compartments: 1. the main compartment, where a foam filter is placed on a stand, followed by a partition made of a Hamburg mat filter and an algae scrubber. 2. the return compartment.

Thank you for the advice, I chose the classic.
