• Who has dealt with AquaC? I can't set it up.

Good day. Please share your experience if you have dealt with AquaC EV series skimmers. I have an AquaC EV-400 paired with an Iwaki MD70RLT pump. It hasn't been skimming properly. It's been running for a month now. During this month, there have been floods and fish deaths due to nitrates. 1. How do I set it up correctly? What is the order of actions? 2. When feeding (or putting hands in the water), the foam column just drops and then takes about four hours to recover; is that normal? 3. The simpler skimmer has no air adjustment, but this one does. Nitrates are off the charts, fish are dying, and I'm just fiddling with the valve; sometimes I tighten it, and it seems fine, but then at night, there's a flood (it dumps about 20-30 liters overnight), and if I loosen it, it doesn't work at all or the foam is thin and watery. Considering the cost of the dead fish, I could just throw it away and buy something else, but my curiosity drives me to want to get it set up.

Here’s a tip: call, message, and ask questions. This person sold it and probably knows what and how. It wouldn’t hurt for you to mention what kind of aquarium you have and what fish, especially the specifics. Otherwise, with such cold and sparse information, you won’t get a response.

1) Air tap at maximum. 2) There were also multiple overflows at night. The pump works more powerfully at night, and the foam generator is very sensitive to the level (it doesn't need to be adjusted under the cup during the day). Therefore, during the day, we set the level to the center of the transparent container and wait for the foam))) When feeding and hands in the water, the foam dropped for about half an hour. Excellent and stable foaming was achieved if the air intake was taken from outside (fortunately, the diameter of the inlet allows for that).
