The membrane is bad.

Damn.....
I wonder why my cyanosis doesn't go away (((

To avoid creating the same topic, QUESTION? At the input 215 after the membrane 007 after the resin 003 WHY NOT 000 ??
Jeremy8404
I also have 007 ppm after the membrane. After the membrane, there are two resin cartridges at the output with 000. However, after the first 100 liters, it already becomes 001, after 200 liters it becomes 002, and so on. I change the resin after it reaches 003-004.
Chris
After 10 liters it became 007 again, why??? Is the resin bad?

Check the sealing gaskets; they might be leaking, and water is not passing through the resin.

membrane flushing?

rinsed

I measured after the membrane 007, after the resin also 007. What's wrong? Why doesn't the resin clean?

What kind of resin are you using? There are many types of ion exchange resins, each with different purposes. The manufacturer of the resin? Or at least the brand. Another factor is that ion exchange resin has the property of depleting its resource; if you have passed a certain number of cubic meters through it, it may simply have exhausted its resource and is not replacing anything.

The problem was solved; I added a sealing rubber on top of the cartridge. Probably, water was passing by the cartridge.

and the water flow rate from the resin at "maximum" or a small stream? At "maximum," I had 003-007, and with a stream, it was 000.

I will get pelted with slippers now, but I have 40 and it's been fine for 2 years; at first, I was worried too, membranes, resins... no problems.
Christopher
depending on what is in these 40... it's a lottery.

The membrane and coal will clean all the worst things; of course, I don't encourage pouring tap water, but I think the composition of the salt we use for substitutions varies quite a bit, so with the salts, a little more or a little less is fine. The aquarium should handle it normally; if problems arise, the cause needs to be sought elsewhere. Of course, if it reaches 50, I will change it, but if it's between 3-7, I wouldn't worry. This is not theory; I've been doing this for 2 years in an LPS aquarium with soft corals, anemones, fish, and my water is not special from the tap, but the most "smelly" water from Kharkiv.

What if it's a well??? God protects the cautious, and engaging in unjustified risks is a personal matter. Moreover, it's impossible to give a definitive advice in M.A. (marine aquarium), only recommendations, and after that - a minefield.
