no
the lid is not needed there, or is it still a pendant light? jewelry lamps to the trash
stream aquarel, not jewel, the first Pole.
for the return, a thin L30 will be enough
Adam4310
The lights will be built into the lid instead of being suspended! If not jewelry ones, then which ones are better? Yes, sorry, Aquael, they seem to be not bad, right? What if we take L40? Can you say something about the foam?
Tammy2040
it's not great
not a 100% jewel, cheap Chinese, average "silvanias," expensive "ati"
I had it, normal, but I changed the fasteners, didn't like the original
why?
I don't like their design for the samp, and I'm not aware of their performance - I haven't used them
Chelsea
What can you recommend in the same price range for skimmers??? I have been looking for a long time, and this is the only one that caught my attention! If you have any suggestions from European manufacturers in the same price range, I would be happy!!!
Regarding the lights and the lid.
What you offer are very expensive hanging lights (in my opinion), and I wouldn't want to make holes in the ceiling since I might move the aquarium.
I have seen plenty of marine setups with lids, and everything seems to work fine)))
Emily3506
For 150, I don't recall anything, I would recommend my own, but it doesn't always work reliably. For 200, you can check with Igor, but I have no idea how they perform. For 250, there are options, and it gets even more expensive after that. There are lamps on legs, so you don't need to drill the ceiling for them.
Alexander
There I have a chance with Igor for 150 bucks, or is it not worth getting the aquarium?
And why do you have nothing against Chinese lamps, but Jewel is not recommended? Is it really that bad?
Ricky9405
If we're talking about 120-6530, it seems to be already 200. The Yuvela lamps are non-standard, and it will be difficult to find them and their further replacements. Standard T5 24 and 39W lamps should be at least 90 cm for the second aquarium, and you can choose between Chinese, Sylvania, or ATI, the main thing is "for marine."

Can you tell me where to buy the algae for the algae eater, and how much do they cost?
Brandi
Ask on the forum with your neighbors - usually people share hetamorph for free without any problems.

I have this foam generator that works fine with small limits. I turned the pump into the foam generator by cutting a hole, connected the drain from the aquarium directly to it next to the pump, and cut the cup, leaving 3 cm. The productivity has increased significantly. It has been working for about 2-3 years. It works.

Thank you, I will keep that in mind, but since I have never held a skimmer in my hands and only know the principle of operation in theory, I understood about 30 percent of what you described after the period. In general, thank you, I will know what to do if needed!
Could you please tell me one more thing? As I understand it, in SAMP, you can install both external and internal skimmers, but for the internal one, a certain water level is required, am I right or not?
Christopher1774
This muffler is well-tuned by Vitalik NOX, but it is loud and has a large base, so it doesn't fit in all samples. In the sample, you need to install the internal one, first buy the muffler (or know its dimensions and the required level) and then order the sample, especially if it is small.
Todd
Igor, whom you recommended to me, after reading the topic and understanding that internal ones are needed in Samp, I can assume that he makes them himself?

One more question, please tell me how much live rock (LR) and live sand is needed for a volume (with sump) of 280 liters. I read somewhere that it's up to 10% in kg for live rock, but if I don't have that amount, can I mix live with dry? Regarding the sand, what grain size is best to use and how thick should the layer be? And how do I determine how much sand is needed? Thank you.
Alicia5489
display 160, and samp 120?
the amount of stones and sand depends on what will be molded - in bulk or "wood," but it will definitely be around 15 kg or even more.
mix depending on finances
from 1mm
from 2-3 cm
by the size of the bottom, also about 15 kg
...
no, Igor does not collect the foam himself
Angela6489
No, I'm just thinking that if I make a display of 80-45-45 cm, that is, 160 liters, and a sump of 60-70 liters, it won't be much more expensive than making a display of 100-50-45 cm, which is about 225 liters, and a sump of up to 80 liters. But that's just my estimation, or am I wrong? So, regarding the sand, which grain size looks better and what should I use in general?
Earl
1) For a 300L aquarium, 40-50kg is needed. It all depends on the design.
2) Calculate the bottom area with a thickness of 2-3-5cm.
3) You can gradually buy the necessary amount of live rocks, but the first batch should be at least half of the required mass.
4) You can initially mix the required amount of dry reef rocks and add live rocks over time.
5) There are many opinions on this. If the price difference is not significant, choose any. The fraction should be medium—not dust, but not large.

if under T5 lamps, then 65x50x50 or 90x50x50, the working volume of the sump is about 1/4 of the display.
increasing the volume will require adjustments to the equipment and additional costs
sand from 10/kg dry at Igor's to

What else good can you buy from Igor?
Earl
Could you please tell me, how long will it take for dry reef rocks (S.R.K.) to perform the same filtering function as live rocks (J.K.) in the aquarium? How much time is needed to "activate" these rocks?
Gabrielle5053
It will be populated quite quickly with worms, Carolina, and Aiptasia, but it will take a long time to come to life.
