The penetrating power will decrease, but you can place two at different angles and cover a larger area.
Hunter1471
I completely agree with Vadim! By the way, I can buy the fives, since 11 tons on each side is quite a lot.
Amanda5586
I have one five.
Yvette209
I can buy one too. By the way, there are no helmons left, not a single one...
Laura3673
They sold everyone and kept 5 for themselves.

Recently, I noticed that the pump with a capacity of 3000 l/h sometimes starts running in reverse after being turned on. Is it "arrived"? Does this happen with others (from different manufacturers) as well?
Lauren
Yes, it arrived. The stopper got worn out. Others have it too, but much later. The small tune has had no problems so far (5 years). But it just sits there. However, the second tune had the axle rot after a year. I wouldn't worry about it—just turn it off and on again and back to battle.
Rachael
Strangely enough, the same thing happens with Hydor Koralia evolution.
Lindsey3362
No, it didn't arrive - it happens with completely new ones. And that stopper there is "whatever" - I've never seen it start in the wrong direction in 2 years of use, then stop and start turning in the right direction. Yes, that's how it's fixed.
Maria6659
It all depends on the pump model, specifically which type of motor is used (asynchronous or synchronous), rather than its power.
Added after 14 minutes
A synchronous motor can rotate in either direction if there is no limiter. An asynchronous motor can only rotate in one direction.
Sarah7284
Which manufacturers have asynchronous motors?
Lisa
Even if the 3000 san san is out of order, you can keep the magnet and buy the pump (3000) with suction cups for 80-90, and that will be a new pump. The cost of the magnet is approximately the same as the cost of the pump itself.
John3335
The magnet was purchased separately. The "reverse" function appeared after 3 months of use. I have 4 of these pumps. One got stuck in the wrong direction, and the second just stopped working (after 2 months) 3 days ago; fortunately, the seller agreed to replace it under warranty. I thought I would change them every six months (buy new ones), but 2-3 months is still too little.
Martin3206
I noticed this on the SAN-SAN "ah 3000l/hour (there are 2, in operation for 6 months). The 5000l/hour runs without problems for the same amount of time, and I've never seen it spin in the other direction.
I noticed something similar with the Resun Waver 15000, but I'm not using them now, so I don't have any statistics.
I thought about creating a topic, but I never got around to it.

As a treatment option, is replacing the impeller with a blade an option?
Lee
This is not the case (if you are talking about the blades from ship models, then their direction of rotation determines the direction of the water flow). It concerns the impeller like that of a lift pump. In such wave pumps, the design of the housing determines the direction of the water flow regardless of the direction of the impeller's rotation. I understand that I am writing in a complicated way. These are pumps of the Bouy and Sicce type (you can find their design online if you wish). I decided to add this. An idea is forming in my mind on how to convey these "sansanychs." But I am not ready yet.
William5838
I agree. It's not difficult to jerk the fork. It's better than paying.
However, I want the water to ripple. And here you need "the right pumps." That's finances.
In general, the circle has closed.
Jacob7201
It's not difficult for me. But if you leave for a month and leave the aquarium in the care of an inexperienced person...
then a Vortex. I have it in 130 liters - you can really create waves.
Andrew7823
I have 3 San-Sanychs with a capacity of 5000 l/h that have been working for a year and a half—no questions.
Collin
In alternating current mode? If so, I envy you.
Stephanie3084
I have been using the Aquael 2600 pumps in alternating flow mode for about a week. One of the plastic limiters cracked, and the other one was knocked out by the rotor. San San, like everyone else, occasionally "works in reverse." I am seriously considering Vortech, but as far as I know, they are far from ideal in terms of noise level.
Christine
The 3000 model is connected through a UPS with AVR. It has now become a habit to turn the pump on and off 2-3 times when I get home. It constantly rotates in the opposite direction. Moreover, the change in flow direction occurs when the voltage drops (I live outside the city). So, not only a complete loss of voltage can cause a change in the direction of movement. Most likely, the 5000 model has a different type of motor.
Rachael
In short, it's a tragedy with these San-sans... today it started buzzing at 5000 l/h. I cleaned it, checked the play - everything is fine, but it's still buzzing.
Kathleen
UPD. The stopper is simply made more effectively, preventing rotation in the opposite direction.
And it's not just the san-sani; many complained about the tynzy for a certain period, and the price there is completely different.
Karen2578
I disassembled San-Sanych, who is spinning in the opposite direction. The front cover has worn limiters; in principle, I can try to restore them, or rather just cut a piece of the casing to increase the limiter. If I have a free minute, I'll take care of it. I'll report back with photos of the result.
