In my opinion, those who have the opportunity to create an interior do so, while those who value the corner of the interior volume create exteriors. The photos are not mine.

If I had a place to make a siphon outside the aquarium, I would rather extend the aquarium to that length.

And would you drill the bottom???
P.S. The question is not rhetorical and not a joke. Thank you.

What does the bottom have to do with it? The side wall is being drilled.

internal shaft, when we drill the bottom and insert the cup, we relieve the tension on the drilled holes last, but when we make holes in the side (and sometimes they try to drill the back) we create extra tension - it's lazy to calculate, but the first option is safer

What kind of tension??? If you make a hole in the upper part of the aquarium (doesn't matter if it's on the side or the back) instead of the bottom, you still need to glue the container for the comb.

I am preparing the former 190-liter pressurized tank for launch, and I plan to implement the drainage exactly as shown in the picture. I did the same on the training 60L tank, and I had no problems over the past six months. I glued and drilled by eye. Maybe someone can suggest where to find information or explain how this should be done correctly. The dimensions of the box, the diameter and height of the hole, the pump power, etc.
Type of aquarium: oval front glass
190 liters
Dimensions: 1000x400x500 mm
Water lift: 110-120 cm
I am also interested in the protein skimmer, circulation pumps, and wave makers. Thank you.
