Matthew

Try to take a look at this. You might like it; we have been using these models for 3 years, and so far everything is fine.

Michael

Thank you very much for the information. I understood about the lighting. But based on the calculation of 6 lamps, how many blue? How many white? What combination is the most favorable? I will go with the Atman AT-203 for the pump. I understood about the flow: SunSun JVP-102, 2 pieces. I have messaged about the skimmer and am waiting for a response regarding the price. What can you say about the Atman UV 9W sterilizer? Is it sufficient for this volume?

Jill9137

I can say that it is not needed... Mine has been sitting on the shelf for about four years. So it's money wasted. A powerful UV is needed in a fish quarantine, but in a reef, it's unnecessary. As for lighting, it's individual; for example, I don't like pure actinics at all. I would install two ATI Blue Plus, two at 15,000 Kelvin, and two at 10,000 Kelvin... (manufacturer from China, etc.)

Joshua9340

I think 6x39W is a bit too little; if it's T5, then 54W would be better, although the fixtures will stick out by 10 cm. I have a 240L tank with 3 blue lights, 2 white lights at 10,000K, and 1 at 15,000K. There are two circulation pumps, one 101 and one 102; I think two 102s would suit you. You can try getting one pump of each model. You'll need about 18-20 kg of substrate. 30-35 kg of rocks will be enough. Regarding the return pump, I have a ViaAqua-1800, which operates relatively quietly compared to the pump in the skimmer. However, the aquarium is not set up in the bedroom, so the pumps are not heard at night. Again, the aquarium is only 1 month old, and there are no inhabitants in it yet.

Melissa

Can anyone tell me something about this skimmer? I'm currently considering it as the main option.

Ryan7682

I have a similar one, Magnus 110. The pump is not 2500, but 3000. When I stock it before the New Year, there will definitely be some living creatures; I'll see how it works. Right now, it's spitting out a green smelly liquid; I don't know what it's called exactly. I haven't timed it, but it's about 1.5 liters every week to 10 days. Either the pump or the skimmer is a bit noisy; if you set the system up in the bedroom, I don't think you'll like the noise. The pump can be replaced; for example, in my case, an OR2500 can be installed, and since the skimmer has the same width dimensions, it should fit.

Friends, has anyone ordered something from this site? I encountered a payment issue; there are only two options as I understand it: - credit card (PayPal) - PayPal Express Checkout. However, a friend told me that PayPal is not working. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue?

Christine

Well, it might not work for some, but in general, PayPal works. By the way, they pay the same on eBay. Here's the topic.

Monica

You can make an invoice; it will be considered PayPal, you just need to figure it out. It's not profitable to take one item, only if it's a lot. If you really want something, it's easier to go through an intermediary, but you will have to overpay about 15 percent and for delivery to the customer's address.

Kimberly

On "Fishstreet," the delivery amount depends on the weight, with a maximum reduction of 1-2 currency units per kg. It makes sense to use a mediator where there is no shipping to us.

Emily3506

Is anyone planning to order something from Fishstreet soon? I would like to tag along; I only need a skimmer.

Scott8536

What can you say about these skimmers? The reviews seem to be good, and they say they operate quietly. The company is Deltec. For my volume, I found this option.

Sheila1322

230 liters will be a bit weak. It’s better to stretch for something like this. It costs 120 liters at work; I wouldn’t say it’s too much...

Christine864

Well, or the 500 for the Samp, although the prices are almost the same as the 600. Clearly, 230 is not enough for the 300.

David4968

Is there a website in mind where I can actually place an order? Or maybe someone here is selling?

Wendy2244

Пожалуйста, предоставьте текст для перевода.

Christopher1774

Thank you) I have already messaged there, waiting for a response ))

Tracey

I am currently ordering an aquarium. Can you tell me which silicone is better? I've heard that not all of them can withstand aggressive seawater. The company said they have DenBraun, but they can glue it with any silicone I bring them. What does anyone know about it? Is it suitable for a marine aquarium?

Allison

Better black, in my humble opinion, looks more aesthetic.

Jerry

Well, I didn't say it would be transparent. It's not about the color, but about the reliability.

Charles4157

I can sell it for 50. Dan Brown black, I glued all my things with it, only one bottle left. The expiration date is still a year. It will definitely be enough for sealing a 250-liter aquarium with a seam thickness of 1 mm.

Joe

I finished the stand for the aquarium. Now I will start working on the sump; I need to decide on its dimensions and design. By the way, I still haven't decided on the skimmer; I'm currently looking at these two options. Has anyone heard anything about them or knows?

Anthony4281

it's better to add a little and get it from A or Deltac

Deborah2682

It's fine to add there ) Deltak is still 600 grams, but there is even more there ( This is a skimmer splinter! I already have a headache from it )

Amy9618

He told you nonsense; he personally used this payment system when ordering from eBay.

Tanya

I've been reading the marine thread for a year now, your topic is very interesting to me (I'm a bit hesitant for now). If I were to start for myself, I would probably go for a Deltec or a custom-made one from a skilled craftsman. The cabinet is great, I really need one like that for myself.

Tonya

First, buy a skimmer, and make the sump for it. The Turboflotor 750 is money wasted; the Turboflotor 1000 Multi SL or Blue 1000 from Aquamedic will work. Instead of that, it's better to take the Aquarium Systems IO Skimm 800, but the Aquarium Systems IO Skimm 1200 (for extra capacity) is a better choice.

Jesse3979

Is the Aquarium Systems IO Skimm 800 going to be too small? The price difference is quite significant. Aquarium Systems Skimmer IO Skimm 800 is 1850.00, while Aquarium Systems Skimmer IO Skimm 1200 is 2890.00. If the 800 is too small, then it's better to go for the Deltec 600, which I was quoted at 2500.

Rachel

I picked up the aquarium. The dimensions are 100*45*55 cm. I drilled a hole in the back wall (in the photo, the aquarium is turned around). The size of the hole is 25 mm, which seems to be 3/4 if I understood correctly. Now the question is what size should the overflow chamber be? Are there any specific features, or do people just make it by eye?

Hannah

And what did you drill it for? For drainage? Then it's too low and the diameter is small... or is it a hole on the facade? How far from the edge? But the diameter is still small.

Scott9892

for draining! 4 cm from the edge. why so little???? yes, in the photo there is a hole on the facade, I just didn't turn it around.

Tricia7885

Is this the highest point? The top of your glass will be only 1 cm above the top of the hole; it could have been 1-2 cm lower. If you install a standard pass-through coupling, the hole for a 25 mm pipe needs to be 35 mm. And why not a shaft?

James8887

The mine is better, but when I found out, the hole was already drilled, so it is what it is. The pump will actually provide about 1100 liters per hour, and this hole should allow for that volume.

Michelle9986

or to be clever and choose fittings, or to re-drill, but 25 (3/4) is unlikely to work

Martin3206

25mm is the diameter of the PVC pipes. The pipe is inserted into a coupling. The diameter of such a coupling is more than 30mm. Look at the coupling for a 20mm pipe; it might fit into the hole.

Rodney

The best option is to seal the hole and insert the shaft in that corner.

Cheryl9296

Yes, it's a bit scary to drill into a ready-made aquarium, but it's more complicated. However, the option is not without merit. I will have to think about it. Thank you.

Theresa5149

Tell me why everyone tends to prefer the shaft? It seems to me that it is "more complicated"; for example, in the case of repairs, it will be much harder to access the shaft, and it takes up more space than a cup. What are the advantages of the shaft?

William5838

All pipes (drain, return, emergency) remain within the aquarium and the stand, saving space. Personally, I also have the noise of running water through the pipe. I made it like Lhomer, connecting the threaded joint for PVC pipes with silicone. The hole can be carefully enlarged with a drill and a bit if the diameter doesn't fit, although you can also drill (aquarium on its side, putty, water, and go ahead).

Kevin

I drilled a hole. I bought a fitting, a tee, an elbow, a plug, and a pipe. Now the question is, what size should the Durso standpipe be? I am roughly planning for dimensions of 12*12*12 cm.

John3335

I haven't written in a while. The process is moving forward; as of today, all the equipment has been purchased. I ended up getting the skimmer from A A (thanks to him for understanding the situation). I'm currently gluing the sump. I really need a plastic valve!!!! I've searched everywhere in my city!!!!!! They say they had some, but now they don't. Maybe someone has one lying around or can buy it; I would transfer the money for its cost. The photo shows the desired valve's appearance.

Natalie

There is a crane of this type lying around. Please specify the diameter of the pipe you need.

Katie4842

The diameter of the pipe is 32 mm, but the plan is to fit the faucet onto a hose of approximately the same size.

Brandon4517

A hole after the faucet above the water (from below) or two pipes should help with the issue.

Colin1418

Recommend a salt! I have been using Tetra ine SeaSalt for 1.5 years. Now I plan to buy 20 kg. Please advise which salt is better now.

Christopher4125

I would recommend TROPIC MARIN. Call them if you are not satisfied with Tetra ine SeaSalt.

Carrie1606

The difficulty lies in the fact that there is no comparison factor. I have only used one type. Therefore, to say that it does not suit me would be incorrect. It makes more sense to rely on the opinions of our more experienced peers, who have, so to speak, a wealth of experience in these matters. For example, one person recommended Red Sea Salt, saying that Tetra in SeaSalt didn't even come close. However, making a conclusion based on one opinion seems hasty to me. I would like to know the public's opinion on this issue.

Jennifer7159

Tropic Marin seems better, but it's 1.5 times more expensive. Red Sea is more of an acquired taste, and I often get flakes after mixing it. ... I'm on Tetra, and I don't have a strong desire to switch to something else, especially since what might be better costs more.
