not quite like that
this air fence doesn't make a difference, you could even put a needle from a dropper there (that used to be my silencer).
the air fence is affected by the injector that is attached to the pump cover - there is a small hole, I drilled mine out (I don't remember the diameter), but ideally, it's better to replace it or modify it for a larger diameter tube.
do something like this
but actually, it's better to throw away the pump and buy something like Aqua-Bi 2000/1-F (that's with needles).
the body of the foam maker is fine, but the pump is weak and useless.

Seryozha, try to install a plastic tap and use a tube to get the stone to create small bubbles. It works quieter and allows for adjusting the amount of air! I made such a collector for my internal filter.

I also have needles. A disc with needles on both sides. I'm thinking about this too. I didn't want to take the risk. I would like to know the inner diameter of the tube in the photo and the angle of the cut, if it's not too much trouble. There, the air flow is 1000-2000 l/h. It's unlikely that any stone would allow that much. Besides, the principle is completely different. Although there are foam stones built on the principle of regular aeration, they use wooden blocks. A stone (even the best one) does not produce such small bubbles.

I know, I have the same one. The injector in the photo is not mine, it's a photo from the internet - so I can't say anything about the diameters and sizes. I have the original one, I slightly enlarged the inner diameter of the rod with a drill (I started pulling a couple of liters more), but you have to be careful not to drill through that inner "circle."

I will try.

I suggest using a stone as a silencer instead of a syringe with synthetic padding - it's really quieter. And don't doubt that the valve will let through 2 cubic meters of air per hour.
