Do you know many manufacturing companies??? There will be differences between laboratory Hanvoks electrodes, for example, priced at 1500 - 2000, and various JBL / MN and others priced at 200. P.S. I am sure that neither JBL, nor Tetra, nor anyone else in the aquabusiness has their own electrode factories; they probably buy cheaply from Chinese craftsmen and stick on their labels.

There is also AquaMedic from 600, Dennerle from 900. But all of them have a guaranteed lifespan of 1-2 years. Since laboratory accuracy is not needed, and it won't be achievable because the electrode is constantly in water and gets dirty, then... why pay more? HM-Digital is quite satisfactory.

There are Hanseatic ones for 60 euros of very decent quality.

I won't argue, I wanted to say that there are mass-produced items within 200 and lab tools, and they are not cheap. Although, of course, we don't need the third decimal place. In terms of lifespan, almost all electrodes have a working life of one to two years at most. All electrodes require systematic cleaning and calibration, and they really don't like drying out, etc. I don't like NM digital because out of three electrodes, only one lasted a year; now I'm trying JBL, which is a bit more expensive... we'll see.

How does the casing affect measurement accuracy? Are glass electrodes considered more durable and accurate? Does the measurement range of pH—alkaline and acidic—also affect measurement accuracy? Are there electrodes for different measurement environments and pressures?

I tried glass, I tried plastic - it's all the same. Two decimal places hold fine. The range between 2-15 doesn't affect it, there is a linear characteristic. What does pressure have to do with it? They can withstand a meter of depth, beyond that I don't know.

According to the instructions, it is generally advised to immerse it by 1/3, full immersion is prohibited. In the AM, there are special electrodes for KR under pressure, as stated in the catalog. Is it advertising or the truth?
Christine
Pressure is already the mechanics of execution, the measurement follows the same method. The difference between glass and plastic is in quality and price, but again, we are satisfied with the quality of plastic.

Good day!
To avoid creating a new topic, I will ask here.
Does anyone have experience using the Aquamedic PH-Controller pH 2001C?
Impressions?
Thank you!
